Navigation inactive

2021 Mach-E 2wd ER, last update was 21B36; Power-up 3.6.1 was installed on 2022-11-16. There is no navigation icon on the bottom of the Sync (22228_PRODUCT Revision: 539) screen. If I ask the Ford Assistant to navigate to a destination, she says "Sorry, the navigation system is still loading. Please wait."

I think this started when I had to manually restart Sync (volume down and next buttons together) to be able to change from the guest profile to my saved profile.

Anybody else with this problem? Any ideas? (I did restart Sync again to see if that helped. No.)

Usually the soft reboot works, like you did. I had to do a hard restart by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a different issue. It might be worth a try. Maybe the master reset on the Sync 4 screen. Good luck

Didn't want incur drawbacks of master reset, so I waited for the next software upgrade. Sure enough, after Power-Up 3.6.2 on 2023-01-21, navigation is back.

In the future, you can also bring up the navigation app from the icon at the top center of the display. It shows the full list of available applications, including Navigation.

Once you get Power-Up 4.1.2, I think this icon might be moved the top left corner.

Happened to me today. First time ever, after 20 months.

Waiting five minutes did not help. Turning off the car, and turning it on an hour later did not help. Rebooting the Sync screen, twice -- did not help.

What did work? I asked: "What's the weather forecast?" Car gave me the weather forecast, and was then immediately able to also do voice navigation. No more problem. Go figure.

Thanks to this thread! Mine did this yesterday, did the weather trick and voice navigation came back.
