It has option to set up comfortable temperatures. I love all the animal "parents" who think ok to leave animal in car with car temp controled. As a responsible parent what temp do I set to leave my child in car, with dog and vegetables?
IMO outside of a couple minutes to go pee…not very acceptable. (For pets, child pretty much never)

Which is why your risking having your window smashed by someone, but hey, not my car.

Really? You don't know this?

Everyone knows that you set the AC at the vegetable temp, and if the child and/or dog is cold, that's tough beans. Not wilted lettuce for me! ?

It doesn’t start car nor can u control how long it runs. Useless option IMHO
Outside of the icon nothing changed in FordPass 5 compared to FordPass 4.x in regards to “remote start.” While that’s what we call it, it’s never what it did. A true remote start of Bev is pretty close to meaningless. Only the icon changed.

6 pages of arguments over semantics, we’re definitely slipping up, in the old days we be at page 30 arguing about semantics by now.

As for your dog, there are workarounds to leaving it in the car and keeping the climate control on. Turn off the auto shutdown feature and lock the pup in the car. Yes, a pet mode would be a nice 1 button fix.
I don’t have a manual to review at my leisure…I must sit in car. That doesn’t work for me.
Download the pdf if you haven’t done so already. It’s a bit more cumbersome than the car version but it works. Or you can always send it off to be printed if you desire and if the price is reasonable.

Or they can look at it on their iPad or laptop. Some people just do not want to take the time to read. Not saying this person is one of them but you can tell that many people ask questions without taking a moment to search for the answer themselves.

I find the pdf version difficult to use on my iPhone. Then again, I also find typing on the iPhone difficult to do as our long time forum members are all too aware of. The car is the easiest electronic format version imo. Paper would be better (for me).

But yeah, a lot of questions here and 99.999999% of the Facebook Mach-e group questions can be answered with RTFM.

I wonder if any of the business analysts or software developers of the Ford Pass App actually drives a Mustang Mach E.

Mid 90s yesterday. Hit that fan button and as I came out of the house the car was sounding like a jet engine running the cooling.

Honestly the only way to know what temp to set for a child in the car is to run several tests.

Set it at a certain temp, then every 15 minutes take a temp reading of the child. Do this for a couple hours.

Once the child has equalized with the cabin temp, then start the process over with another temperature setting, probably 5C above or below your first temp.

Repeat until you find an acceptable child temperature.

Yes, I believe the previous "Start" is this versions Fan Symbol. Does the same, just not as much info upfront.
I have a start button to the top right of the SOC. Am I special or did I receive an OTA bug fix? Sure miss the mileage & tire pressures.

Start shows when your plugged in to start charging to 100%.

Tire pressure and mileage are both also in the app, just not on the Home Screen.

So we have a Lightning and a Mach-e. On Ford Pass, when I hit the fan button for the Lightning, I can change temperature, turn on heated/cooled seats and start defrost. When I switch to the Mach-e, it only allows me to turn the fan on or off. Odd that they're different. And on both, it looks like the longest I can run climate is 25 minutes (15 originally, then extend 10 minutes).

Have to look to see if I have settings different between the two vehicles.
To me that just sounds more like my thought of they just gave up half way through, now was it due to time or mach e limitations, that could go either way.

This is not accurate. The button is marked “Start” if the car is plugged in and not accepting power. It is marked “Stop” if the car is plugged in and accepting power. The button to the right of the charge state is context-sensitive. The button is not present when the car is not plugged in. If “Start” is present and the car is not charging, pressing the button will only start charging to your location’s charge ceiling. In order to charge to 100%, the car must be at or above its location’s charge ceiling. ??

Well…if you were in suddenly and unexpectedly in wheelchair and life as knew it was turned upside down I don’t think you’d feel you were trying to be impressed. Perhaps you’d be grateful as I am there is technology available so you do not have to ask someone to constantly help with your every need.
I bought car for my unique needs absolutely bc of features it afforded to provide some level of independence. “Walking” to car to test bunch things isn’t feasible. Pumping gas isn’t option. I spent 25 yrs in technology field and finally got courage to use my skills to find vehicle.
It was long difficult journey after emergency thoracic spine surgery, from nearly severed spine. An injury so uncommon it took yrs to diagnose and only after impingement so severe it blocked spinal fluid to my brain. Then told I’d never walk again. After 150 days in hospital, 2 yrs of grueling therapy, I continue fighting every day for independence.
I have trained lab by my side 24/7 for my safety and independence. For all she’s done for me very least I can do is care for her same way she continues to care for me.
I challenge you and annyone else with snide disrespectful comments to spend one day in wheelchair. Let’s see how impressive you find by technology when it’s survival.
I shouldn’t need to share my very personal private reasons I sought help, but there you have it. I only hope perhaps if someone else asks for help, each of you will take pause, think of me and not pass such harsh unkind judgement while you don’t have to actually face person or have any idea who and what they’re really all about. Now I know exactly
why I hesitated to post here and called Ford Pass 1st. She may not have had answer, but at least she was kind and professional.

really?? That’s not what was written! Nor was what I said in my post which is what started this thread. And for your information, those of us disabled DO need that feature for various reasons you clearly don’t have mental capacity to even begin to understand.
I perhaps shouldn't even be sticking my nose in here, but... As someone who works in healthcare with a lot of people who have service dogs, while I do understand your concerns and some of what you may struggle with on a day to day basis, I am sorry if some salesman or other information source led you to believe this car can do what it officially cannot do yet. It has no official pet mode. @Kamuelaflyer explains the work-around, to leave the car on and disable the auto-shut-off feature. However, keep in mind that it's a work-around, about as safe as leaving a gas car running to keep the cabin comfy. Ford has been told repeatedly that many drivers want an official pet mode. However, I suspect they won't release such a feature until they're extremely confident it won't fail, because they don't want to be liable if someone left their dog in the car when it failed. Because it's not an official, sanctioned feature, I would be hesitant in how much to rely on it, just like I would be hesitant to rely on leaving my kids or dogs in my old Prius while running, for extended periods of time.

That being said, your perspective, as a driver with a disability, who needs to have a service dog with you most of the time, but who may have times when your service dog may need to stay in the car... You have a perspective that @Ford Motor Company needs to hear. A number of my patients have service dogs that come into the office with them, but a number have emotional support animals thst cannot enter, as they aren't full service dogs, but that are still serving really important roles, and may sit and wait in their person's car. Ford cannot grant us everything we ask, but I think Ford is at least listening, and at least sometimes has implemented changes based on customer feedback.
