According to other threads on this, it’s EV-Go station compatibility.

It also keeps a higher charge rate after 80% when DC fast charging.

I think that's a different update. I just received the OP's update (I think, no clue what my update ID# was but the text was the same) on my May '22 build CR1 and already had the improved DCFC like all '22 vehicles.

I have a 21 job 2 GTPE and I haven't been to the dealer to get the DC fast charge update, but once I got the OTA I went to test it and it now charges higher then 12kw from 80% to 90% that's why I said what I said.

It possible you didn't get the update from about 6 months ago that boosted the 80%-97% SOC charge power from ~12kw to ~43kw. This one may have caught you up for both.

Most cars got that one Spring/Summer.

It also allows charging on BTC Power DC Fast chargers. Here in California Caltrans has a bunch of free DC Fast Chargers along freeway cooridors but they are all made by BTC Power and when you look at PlugShare either everyone has problems with the charger (they are broken) or just Mach-E's have problems.
We have a BTC Power DC fast charger at work and my Mach-E wouldn't charge on it. After the update, it charges just fine. Slower than a typical 50kW DC Fast charger but it does charge.
