New owner FAQ/Guide?

Hi all!

Well after ordering in February, my dealer says my car will finally be ready for pickup tomorrow - is there a New Owner Guide or something like that for setting up the car? Stuff to do first?

I've seen the useful checklist for pickup at the dealership, but is there a Quick Start Guide of some sort on this forum for new owners? What handy things would you have liked to have known on day one?

First thing to do, if you haven’t already is download the FordPass app on your phone. From there you should be able to add the VIN for your vehicle. At the bottom screen select Service, then Reference guide. In there you can view the owners manual, and a quick start guide. Your salesperson should take the time to go over the car with you. (Pair your phone, get your seat and mirror presets). Think of a 5 digit door code. Enter in a backup start passcode. I would then go out for a test drive with them. Play with adaptive cruise control, BlueCruise, all the good stuff. Enjoy the MME!

You may already know this but I wish I’d read Page 4 on of https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/att...r_high_voltage_battery_performance-pdf.37815/ is a nice little faq about battery charging.

Basically don’t overthink it/worry about it, realize cold weather cuts out 20-30% of your capacity, charge up to 90% for your usual, charge to 100% when you know you are going on a longer trip.

Oh, and Ford Points will be added to your account in a few weeks…..about $100 or so if I recall correctly. Can spend on accessories at Ford, future service, an ESP, etc.
