New Power-Up - 3.5.4.2

I received a bunch of 3.5.x updates in succession. Currently at 3.5.4.
CarPlay is broken, no streaming, no Alexa, Sketch is the only app remaining. The games are gone.
CarPlay is the only thing that really affects me. If I don’t get 3.5.4.2 (and it fixes stuff) I’m going to take it to my dealer.

li have been on 3.5.4 for a week and problems on and off.

still waiting for 3.5.4.2 but don’t know if that will help, anyone know?

Got this update a couple of days ago and now I get SecureAlerts every time I open a door even though it is set to only turn on overnight. Any one else having glitchy SecureAlerts with this update?

Turn them off and on again to update the state. You might have to set a different time and change it back too.

It works over WiFi without paying for the streaming service.

Forgive me for my ignorance please, but I couldn't get my car to connect to my personal hotspot. Any clues? If that doesn't work, how much is Ford's streaming service?

Make sure you turn off wireless CarPlay on your phone or you won’t be able to connect to its hotspot.

Ford’s streaming subscription is $10/mo.

Yes, I did that - turned off "Automatic Updates" before that switch disappeared/changed. FordPass still begs me to accept the next update, probably forever, but I can ignore that.

Since nothing appears broken for me today, I plan to avoid updates until something worthwhile comes along. Maybe in about a year...

Just when I was having serious envy for the people getting updates, I skipped to page 9 and came back to just wanting something newer than last June maybe I’ll be in for a nice surprise now that it’s been tweaked by the dealer again, although they still can’t get BC to work but this time they said engineering is working on it but nothing available to fix what never worked.

I don't know if it will keep trying. There was an OTA that wanted to add horns and lights but I already had that feature since day one so I never accepted it. Other OTAs still arrive as normal though.

Yeah, it disappeared from FordPass as well. Good riddance.

I leave my vehicle unlocked overnight in the garage. On the latest update, the mirrors are unfolded, but pressing the door button does nothing. I have to hit unlock on fob before I can open the door.

Update installed! This was the second update to show up on my phone first, then the check mark on the center screen the next day.
