No "hands-free" option

Why doesn't my just picked-up Mach E premium have "hands free" option under sitting, and the hatch doesn't work with "kicking activated". Should I take it back to dealer for a checking?

Yes you should be upset. If I were in your shoes, I would complain to the dealer. They can’t fix it, but they may be able to do something for you.

Because they eliminated the hand free option for 2022s made 1/3 and forward.

Nobody even mentioned it when I picked it up, and they didn't refund me any cost of that. They should've keep me updated and gave me something in return.

I've yet to hear of anyone being compensated but 2022s have only been arriving for a couple weeks. The vast majority of buyers aren't on this forum seeing updates on every little change so I bet there are many unaware the feature was removed. Of course there are probably also people who ordered the car not knowing the feature even existed to begin with.

Yeah, that's annoying that they weren't more informed/didn't let you know the minute difference. The window sticker should say "power liftgate" and not "liftgate - hands free". You also don't have the laminated glass on the front side-windows, but less people probably care about that than the hands free liftgate.

Volvo had the same issue with Polestar 2 deliveries. They are retro fitting them for customers when parts become available.

Another reason I’m very happy I was able to jump on my ‘21 GT. Built 12/21 so it still has the hands free liftgate. If I had waited and ended up with a later build date, I would have missed that option.
