No OTA updates in months!! what can i do to force the updates?

What is the latest software update version?
I have a 2022 premium. I have been seeing this screen for a long time maybe five to six months at least. I am still on software update 10.2.0. It has never been completed and I don't know what can I do to push for this update.

Latest updates (note, some are for specific MY or build date):

How to deal with failed / not completed updates:

https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/how-to-get-failed-otas-to-install.29749/

From that post:
NOTE: This topic applies to "Failed" OTA installs only. This topic does NOT apply to "Not Completed" updates, these steps will not help whatsoever. There is nothing you can do about a "Not Completed" update, other than wait for the next OTA to come (sometimes it takes many months before Ford releases another OTA). If your update screen says "Not Completed" just ignore it and move on with life.

You could try pulling the 12v negative to reboot all the modules, then go for a drive to see if that unsticks anything, Otherwise, there’s nothing to do about it.

Welcome to the club, mines also stuck plus it's just started pinging for going 1mph over the speed limit while speed limiter is on! After I factory reset everything to help, So it can get worse. Crazy and they want £180 just to look at it, probably cost a grand to fix so I'll be selling the car within a year of ownership :( such a shame as I love the car.

Selling a car you love after a few months, because an update won’t install? Sounds a bit dramatic…

What have you tried about the speed limiter warnings?

Tried everything, then posted on Reddit, got a few more suggestions but nothing worked and then the ford garage said it'll be £180 to look at it then could be quite a few more hours labor to do all the updates: https://www.reddit.com/r/MachE/s/zS1r8zzDCX

The only thing was I pushed the car for the first time reaching 99mph, that is the exact moment is saw the screen chance.
I'm no expert but I've read these cars have to cover so many miles, charges, different conditions before some updates will install so many be that was it.
I've had this stuck since I bought the car used 9 months ago, don't think they ever did updates, first 3 month of ownership some updates came though but never the big one to change the os layout.
I've attached a photo of the update if it helps, hope this at least gives you hope it, I lost it after month 6 then this happened :).

Your car would have been caught by SSM 53966, which was a complete pause on updates for vehicles running software versions older than Sync4 23187. Even via locally plugging in a computer and using FRDS it was made unavailable.

That seems to have recently been lifted, someone checked my VIN and saw that SYNC-2501.7.10.1 was now listed as 'Qualified' and should therefore be delivered OTA before long. It's good to see that number appearing on someone's car for real though - I will have to try a longer journey myself to give it time to download. We tend to do a lot of very short journeys

EDIT: Well I'll be damned... Just looked at my Ford app, and mine has updated overnight too! Camera button at the top of the main screen, and temp adjustment on the volume control too! OTAs are working again!!

What version of Sync are you now on under Settings/General/Sync?

It's currently:
SYNC 4 Software Version: 25255_PRODUCT
Revision: 2094

Before my spirited drive it was:
SYNC 4 Software Version: 23095_PRODUCT
Revision: 807

That seems like a massive jump, I'm starting to think it's that recall 25S49 is what caused everything to attempt updating again.

I read somewhere (months ago) that the reason for the SSM and the updates pause caused by it was related to the cameras not working properly in certain circumstances. Sync4 is used on a wide variety of vehicles and the pause applied to all of them, it wasn't really a Mach-E thing. So, the release of this update after all this time, and the release notes being about the camera, makes perfect sense - it all ties up nicely.

I think this may be a band-aid update Ford is pushing out to address the rear camera recall. Something similar happened on the F150 forum recently. Vehicle was skipped over a bunch of Sync version and ended up on Sync 25255, but then more updates were applied which took the Sync version back down to an older version.

In the case of @Mikey_B, his APIM is currently on the EF strategy which is old. OTA dashboard shows he still has a bunch of old OTA's in queue including more APIM updates. Sync 25211 shows NS in the F188 location.

In your case @Matias it shows the OTA you got is still pending and that you're still on Sync 23095 which is very weird.

No matter what, updates are still a good thing. However, don't be surprised if a future update brings your Sync down to an older version before it goes back up. I have seen this happen to a few 2021 F150s, so looks like it will be more of the same here.

I don't think this will happen to any other Mach E's other than 2021 and maybe job 2 2022's. Hard to say exactly.

Scratch that. It is possible that 2023's shipped on 2022 Sync versions and it could also happen to those.

You'll have to expand on what you mean by 'the EF strategy' and 'NS in the F188 location'. You've lost me there.

I wonder if some of those old updates have been queued for a while, but blocked by the overall pause in updates. I work in IT and see similar things happening - you see some old updates that a system has been missing for some time, but then they get superseded by newer ones - and as soon as the latest is installed, the long list of old updates gets refreshed to a much shorter one as many of the old ones are no longer required. I wonder if some of these may disappear shortly?

Anything different showing today?
