I didn't have a chance to bring up the other questions. The call come in very early 7 am PST (or BCT before coffee time) for me so I was barely functional. All I was told was to expect delivery in 2-3 weeks time.
Someone on the forum ran my VIN yesterday and the VVR states vehicle is till sitting in Mexico awaiting microchips, so no change basically since 12/11/21.
Was there any indication it was a call from ford on caller ID or does this mean I should start picking up what I assume are spam calls?

The tracker shows a 12/14 build date and color is rapid red. Not a part of the DMG group for whatever that means.

I was just curious, looking for clues when there are none.

Not really, I've been told to share the number 1 800-392-3673 for anyone looking for more answers.

Well I called the number to try and find out more information and I am still on the chip hold. The rep thought that my 2/14 eta is more likely to be the chip arrival than delivery. This is the most ridiculous and angering car buying experience ever.

I am more inclined to align with that line of logic that the chip shortages won't be resolved by Feb end / March at the earliest. With modern tracking mechanisms Ford should know when and from where they are expecting the next batch of microchips. It's not like someone left a box of microchips lying around and they will magically find in in a corner of their factory to resolve all the backup from the Oct, Dec and all production on the 2022 builds. The VVR reports. Ford trackers as well as some tracking from individuals whose FordPass was accepted seem to be confirming the same, that there's been no movement since our cars were sent offsite.

Another update for this group (posted the same update on the 12/6 thread earlier) . I got a call back from Karen Jones earlier today and she stated that according to her update all issues with my car and sorted out and I should expect delivery in around 2-3 weeks. On being specifically asked whether the microchips issue was sorted out she stated that's what she understands. Apparently I still won't be able to see updates on the Ford tracker (for some reason) or on the other useful trackers available on this website.

So even though there was some good news (for everybody who's had their vehicles delayed due to similar issues) I am still skeptical because I was offered nothing concrete. I will contact my dealer by the end of the week and see if he is seeing any changes on his end.
If it's any consolation, at least you have a contact name (and hopefully contact info) to reach directly from now on.

How does one find out the priority code for an order? Just contact the dealer?

How does one find out the priority code for an order? Just contact the dealer?
"My dealer" assigned me the lowest priority at the time I ordered. (Dealers apparently can choose to assign between 10 and 19. It should appear on the order confirmation sheet they asked you to sign.) Others on this forum have said they got dealer to assign 10 to their order. "My dealer" said they could not change the number, that someone else would raise it as time passed. (It's completely unknown how Ford "adjusts" the priority between 1 and 10.) "My dealer" also won't tell me how many orders they have submitted to Ford or where my order ranks among them. "My dealer" deposit was 3 times that of other Ford dealers. Others on this forum have said that their dealers are much more forthcoming and helpful than "mine". Also, other seemingly knowledgeable folks on this forum have said that the dealer priority has little bearing on Ford's mysterious allocation system. Ford's scheduling "chooses" the winners and losers in the "build date" competition, not dealers. Although, it has been said that within US ZEV states (unverified) and dealers with higher sales (also unverified) get preference. It's unknown how Canadian or European "compete" with US destinations, but there's only one assembly plant (Cuautitlan, Mexico) producing MME for these markets. How's that for a befuddling answer to a simple question?

This is how I picture the Ford office, not sure if getting a contact is any consolation :)

Fair point about something being seriously broken with the process and that's what we are trying to bring to light here. They can't continue to screw with their customers and expect to get away with it over and over again. The microchips along with the car orders need to be processed in the same FIFO order they were placed. There need to be an element of shame if they publish 2022 production updates when they have 2021 backorders 9-10 months in the works.
I find the silence from Ford to be extra loud. Could it really be that Ford could care less about its customers. I placed an order for a MachE in October 2021. I got an email confirmation from Ford. Since then Ford has advertised the 2022 MachE heavily including on the NFL playoff football games. If they can afford the ads, why can't the afford someone to handle the PR honestly as to why our cars are not being built and why we do not hear word ONE from Ford..Lets wake up guys

Wondering if there's a prize for the last 2021 order delivery out there.
