Non-Ford Extended Warranty

I know there are a bunch of posts about extended warranties, but I was wondering if anyone has purchased one from someplace other than Ford. I cannot purchase one of the discounted plans from Granger, Flood and Ziegler because they are not allowed to sell in Florida. Our local Ford dealership strangely is selling one from Total Warranty Services - First Mile Services of Florida. They do not have good reviews. Thanks in advance.

Don't get one of those aftermarket plans.
Get a Ziegler quote for your car, but list the State registered as Georgia.
The difference from list will give you an idea of the MSRP vs Dealer cost.
Bring this into your dealer and see if they will match it.
See if a big FL dealer like Lakeland Ford will discount the Ford plans...

I just went to the Ziegler website and it seems to let me buy one from them. I am going to call tomorrow and make sure it will work for me in Florida. Thank you for the help/advice.

I believe if you have an address you can use outside of Florida you should be good to go.

Agree with Ken above. I use out of state address to purchase my Ford extended warranties.

Bro, use any address other than florida. There are po boxes. I am in Canada and got warranty for my mach e from Gragner Ford.

Same and California. They don’t allow you to purchase extended warranties out of state. Easy to get around. Just use an out of state address when purchasing one.

I actually went to my local Ford Dealer here in Ocala (FL) today and got the same one I was looking at from Ziegler for the same price. Great deal with 5% down and no interest for 30 months. I know people have their opinions on extended warranties, but we are going to keep it for a while, and it will pay for itself if one major issue arises. We already had to have the front camera and wiring replaced under warranty and that would have been $$$ if we had to pay for it. The whole interior had to come out so they could run new wiring. Thanks again for all of the responses and advice!

I had same exact issue with my 2021 Select that was outside of the factory warranty but still within my extended warranty. The Ford Dealer showed me the invoice that was $5,700 and I had to pay $100 deductible. Whew! Also had another repair that extended warranty paid for: bolt broke up under car that held EV battery. They had to pull battery down and replace bolt assembly and lift battery up and reattach. No clue what that would of cost but I again paid $100.

I got the Ford ESP as well, Used the Grainger price and the local dealer matched.

That all depends on the vehicle I have and how I will be driving it. My Mach-E 8 years 125K miles, my ICE Mustang 10 years 60K miles, F-150, 5 years 150K miles. I’ve used the extended warranty on almost every car I’ve owned that was more than 100K miles or 5 years. If I sell the car before the warranty is up, I get a refund on the unused portion.
