Hi all

I are Tesla is offering a “membership” pricing on non Tesla cars at $12.99 mo. I’m having troubles finding more information except that you will receive member pricing for charging. How much is what I’m trying to determine and is that the only perk.
I currently pay $7 for EA and it pays for its self in a few charges.
Any infor would be greatly appreciated

I think the discount price varies depending on time and station. In the Tesla app if you go to a charging station and click on learn more you should see details. Here's what I saw for two stations near me.

I’ve read some negative views on Tesla mostly the short cord
Of the stations you can use, majority being V3…do have a super short cord. That require to you effectively block 2 spots and pull up very very close to the charger. (Unless there is one in a pull thru design).

It’s an annoyance, but the chargers themselves work well.

So the pricing doesn't vary by time. The discount is 20 - 24%, off the price at the time you charge. They don't say "25% off" for some reason. Part of that is rounding too.

Sign up the morning of a trip, then immediately downgrade, takes effect in 30 days.

Ah, took me a bit to understand what you meant and what I said. I meant discount price changes depending on time and not membership price. I'll update my post for clarity. (y)

Seems you may have to use the charger quite a bit to pay for itself

A couple of points here. I use SCs pretty regularly. I do have the $13 membership, however its usefulness depends on the station and on the time. At some stations it’s maybe a $0.03 difference, others as much as $0.15kwh. Tesla does a $20+ hold on your card to charge (although yesterday it was $40 for some reason), I avoid that using Ford Pass. Regarding the political side of things, I hate what E has done to the brand, and who he has revealed himself to be — but unlike buying a car, charging a car is like fueling with gas I may hate what Exxon ford’s as a company, I still need gas.

I’m still very newish and really hate the short cable. I’ve used thr chargers just to try it with my new adapter and got one guy yelling at me saying I need to go to EA as this was for Tesla only. I’ll keep the app and adapter just in case.

Kevin was terribly misinformed.
