Nothing for you either @RickMachE ? I wasn’t initially concerned as the wife’s car wasn’t in Early Access. But now lots of people seem to be getting OTA’d. Her car still shows no OTA according to Tonesto’s widget. I’m starting to think her car is being left behind.
I haven’t heard of anyone outside of EA getting the BC updates yet.

Correct. I am not in EA. My last update was 2.3, and that was ages ago, 2/16.

I had to gently nudge the dealer as he said it was an OTA update, and I replied yeah, but when. I want BlueCruise for a) future trips and b) to sell the car if/when the 2022 comes.

I have zero faith at this point in Ford's ability to keep OTA updates coming on a timely basis, but I had zero faith before buying the car based on the lack of updates supplied to the Fusion Energi. Everything that we've experienced I expected. I told the dealer upfront that I intended to push Ford and them to a) give me what I ordered and b) fix flaws as they come up. That's why I pushed back and told the Service Manager I was scheduling 2 weeks out so if the updates started we could delay, but Ford has missed every date they've set, so no more waiting.

My FINAL update: I woke up this morning, about to head out on a trip, with a FordPass alert that BlueCruise had been installed!
I’m now 100 miles into the trip, and BlueCruise is worth the wait.
I hope everyone’s wait is short. The fixes (can) work. Keep the faith!

Hey @Murse-In-Airy, can't you connect your GT to the Premium and give it a transfusion?

Just tried it, PMI GWM (no joy). I am at EKK. Also tried APIM PMI, same, no change. All updates still clear.

I do worry a bit that because I did the updates by FDRS alone (before the 21G01 procedure was available), I may have stopped the process by something being out of the critical order.

Open to all ideas, tried this one right away!

Everyone might not know what PMI is - In FDRS, select the All tab, and search on PMI, or GWM. There is a routine to run called, "GWM - Programmable Module Installation (PMI)". You just run it like any other FDRS routine.

I was running some configuration routines on a couple of nights ago hoping to trigger an update, also no luck that way either.
There is a 'sister' forum to this one for the F-150. In addition to my MME I have a '21 F-150 PB with BC and have been cross reading and getting tips from that site as well.

There is a member called Jesse-Infotainment whom I consider to be among the best "module whisperers" there and can probably assist. I've seen him address another forum member's concern and have that member pull FDRS data for a given module and send it, and from that he can determine what the issue is and what needs to be done to move forward.

When I look at the same data it's like a hog lookin' at a wrist watch. He obviously knows what to look for.

Might be worth signing up for that forum just for the possibility of getting a fix.

As a bonus I'm attaching the actual 21G01 procedure that I came across this morning. I did not use this procedure myself because it wasn't out yet. But based on guidance provided I knew enough to start with the GWM and TCU and then things just flowed from there.

I don’t think the order of updates you had already done in FDRS is related since I did the same thing, but was offered the APIM update right away. At first, it seemed that some of the updates only showed up in FDRS for cars that were in Early Access. But now that 21G01 was released, they should be offered for all Job 1 VINs. I think Ford is just late in authorizing all VINs for the updates (or is unaware that they haven’t).
Are you in the EA program?

Here's a little hint. If you are not in the Early Access group your chances of DYI or dealer installed BlueCruise is slim to none. If it is installed and working and you are not in EA then you are one of the very lucky few.

The rest of us need to wait for Ford to check the box in their accounting database to enable BlueCruise on our accounts so we can make any use of this feature.

From now on I am considering my MME defective. I bought it with certain hardware, with dates that would enable these features. Now that the software has been delayed again the BlueCruise Pre-kit my Premium was purchased with is useless and it may as well not exist.

@Ford Motor Company You are acting more like Tesla every day with their FSD vaporware. That is not a good impression to the people that really like the hardware.

By the time BlueCruise releases for the rest of the early 2021, i will be able to perform lane changes, freeway interchanges and start to finish navigation on city streets with stop sign and traffic light recognition.

As I read thru the pages of this forum I sense the impatience or urge to install the BC as quickly as possible. Why not. Waited long enough for this feature.
Well....for me it started last night. The alert showed up at 3pm, scheduled it to start in the evening. I parked my vehicle around 7pm and set up for starting the update.
Within 3 hours was done. So far so good.
Now......how long I have to wait for the entire thing to download.....it is something most of us are going to find out. Hopefully all the Programmable Modules will take the updates and not have to visit the dealers for repairs or reprogramming.
Good luck everyone.
I got 2.4.2, 2.4.3 and 2.4.4 over 3 days last weekend. I got 2.4.5 on Friday, 2.5.1 yesterday and 2.5.2 this morning. Took it for a drive on Interstate 69 and I now have Blue Cruise after 14 months of ownership. I am in the Early Access program for Blue Cruise.

I don't agree with your initial assertion that if you're not in the EA group your chances of getting this done by the dealer or by doing it yourself with FDRS are slim to none.

I believe that the EA pool is a subset of the overall list of VINs that were Job 1 BC-prep. And they were picked due to conditions and connectivity where those vehicles are located.

I live in the sticks and barely have two bars of 4G LTE to rub together.

But I got Starlink internet two days before I started to do the updates. I wouldn't have attempted this without it.

FDRS gave me no problems when updating my vehicle last month before the procedure was published. Those updated files were *already on the server* when I got there. And I am not in the EA program (though not for lack of trying).

There a bunches of people on this forum who have successfully installed BC using FDRS and following the guidance provided here.

And if you own a Job 1 car that is BC-prepped and you don't have it yet you should call your dealer and make an appointment to get it done. They're getting paid to do it!

Mike
