Date reservation placed: 11/22/2019
Reservation ID number: 10016330
ORDER DATE 7/8/2020
Production week January 18 2021
Maryland
Premium ER AWD IB grey
My loose analysis says there is no apparent logic to the scheduling. Higher res numbers, later order conversion dates scheduled far earlier. Lower res, earlier orders scheduled at similar times or later.
Compare my date to Davehsrās. He reserved earlier, ordered more promptly, selected the same trim & lives here in Md, but is scheduled 3 weeks later. Yet there have been 2020 production dates for folks nearby who didnāt act until after I did. When itās all over Iād love a debrief on the claimed logic.
That said, Ford has done a tremendous job keeping any schedule in this time of great unpleasantness. While I was caught up in some of the 2020 delivery speculation, I am satisfied with the mid January date. Without this forum I would have thought the date was just about right.
I took a breath before I reserved. I delayed conversion to an order until after I had a conversation with my dealer. I wasnāt racing to get one of the very first down the line.
The ādelayā is not without benefit. I am looking forward to the tremendous amount of information and experience that will undoubtedly be passed along throughout Dec & Jan. Most of my open questions will be answered. Did we miss something obvious? What are the range realities? Before I have to sign the check & take possession.
