My loose analysis says there is no apparent logic to the scheduling. Higher res numbers, later order conversion dates scheduled far earlier. Lower res, earlier orders scheduled at similar times or later.

Compare my date to Davehsr’s. He reserved earlier, ordered more promptly, selected the same trim & lives here in Md, but is scheduled 3 weeks later. Yet there have been 2020 production dates for folks nearby who didn’t act until after I did. When it’s all over I’d love a debrief on the claimed logic.

That said, Ford has done a tremendous job keeping any schedule in this time of great unpleasantness. While I was caught up in some of the 2020 delivery speculation, I am satisfied with the mid January date. Without this forum I would have thought the date was just about right.

I took a breath before I reserved. I delayed conversion to an order until after I had a conversation with my dealer. I wasn’t racing to get one of the very first down the line.

The ‘delay’ is not without benefit. I am looking forward to the tremendous amount of information and experience that will undoubtedly be passed along throughout Dec & Jan. Most of my open questions will be answered. Did we miss something obvious? What are the range realities? Before I have to sign the check & take possession.

This is WAY earlier than I expected (which was spring/summer 2021) and I’m still waiting on my build date for my Mach Drop, which I ordered partly to get the vehicle quicker. So now I’m considering canceling my FE. Hmmmm ?

That is way earlier for that reservation number - but good for you.
I suspect the color choice might have something to do your earlier date - my speculation.

I posted this in the Mach Drop build order thread, but lo and behold, my dealer *just* emailed me to tell me my Mach Drop FE was scheduled for week of 1/4/21. Got a VIN and everything too.

Again, good luck FE/Mach Drop folks! This came after weeks of silence from FoMoCo. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Just got the email that my build in SC is scheduled for 12/21. I'm order number 44XXX

This shows that there is apparently no rhyme or reason for the scheduling of these builds. My number is 40xxx so you'd think mine would be scheduled before yours. I'm also in SC so that means they don't seem to be doing it by region as far as grouping orders together. I got a 1/18 build date which is fine with me so I'll get the $7500 tax credit on my 2021 taxes.

I am waiting for the Mach Drop info from my dealer, they open in less than an hour. I was previously told that my order was in preview with priority 2 as of last Thursday.

I changed from Star White last month to Space White and I am think that set me back a month because of the color, not necessarily the change of color.

I really want to receive it before I need to order my GT in the Spring. I want to know if I like the Pano window for the roof, do I like the Space White, and any other possible option to spec the GT.

Oh, there's most definitely logic around it. You just haven't solved the puzzle yet.

Not 100% sure, but I believe the priority is dealer specific. For example, if your dealer orders 100 vehicles, and he prioritized yours highest, it will likely be scheduled for build ahead of the other orders for his dealership, in general. Your mileage may vary.
