How long did you wait for yours?
I bought my MME from Ted Britt in Fairfax. It was a Rapid Red RR SB. My cars build date was right around the middle of February and I took delivery of the car at the end of March. The sale process was smooth Mitch did a good job of making the experience pretty painless. I dont think the dealership is playing games. Just very strange that a car built in February has taken 6 months or more to make it to the dealership.

Yeah, we don’t have a problem with Mitch/Ted Britt other than they haven’t been able to get any more response than we have.

Sorry to read this. Something is fishy. Escalate it to the big shots at Ford. They will get to the bottom of this or get you a ne car built with the highest priority. Especially with the visibility this forum has. Keep us updated with any news you get
Trying to escalate the situation has been like pulling teeth. Last month, when yet again another delivery date had passed, my mom was on with Ford Corporate for 90 minutes. The woman she talked to said “I can speak for Jim Farley.” But all she did was tell us that there was a new delivery date and guaranteed us that we would get the car on August 20. She also said the car was in the hands of a third party shipper and they had no control over it.

And of course when I check the status this morning the date has one again been moved back. So much for that guarantee?‍♀. Also, I’m pretty sure if they have no control over the shipping company they are using then they have a bigger issue.

It sounds like it could be a situation where the vehicle was either damaged or experienced some type of significant electrical/mechanical failure while being driven during loading/unloading. Given how long we've seen owners whose Mach-Es have taken to get repaired when such issues arise, it would not be surprising that it could take this long. But, the lack of forthright communication about such a lengthy delay is just inexcusable.

Have you tried the Twitter approach that those seeing surprise mark-ups on reserved Mach-Es have used and had success with in the past?

I did tweet at them on Friday. Mike Levine dm’d me fairly quickly asking for the VIN and told me he’s on it with his team to figure out what’s up. But as of this morning the only thing they’ve done is locate the car. We’ve already “located” the car several times but that doesn’t do much. Hopefully, he come back to me with actual solutions today or tomorrow.
Here’s a link to my tweet:

My dealer could only tell me that they have 6 on order....Mine being the first ordered, and one other of those 6 has been built and awaiting shipping

Premium, RWD, Extended Range....
Just. Wow. I converted my reservation to an order on April 27 and it's still going to be 6 weeks until my GT-PE's production week starts. People who ordered after you have built cars? Hey, @Ford Motor Company that is disappointing that people who ordered cars after I did already have theirs built and mine is still waiting for its build week.

Not trying to be bitter. But there is only so much honey in the pot.

I’m just trying to help out my older (don’t let them hear me say that!) parents who ordered this car 13 months ago and have been eagerly awaiting its arrival. My dad has been talking about it since before they ordered it and even convinced one of their neighbors to order one as well (and that happened AFTER the first 2 delays). They’ve already paid money to install a charger in their garage and have gotten rid of their second vehicle. My mom was insistent the next car they buy would be electric so that they can try to be green and keep the earth healthy for their grandchildren. They have been nothing but pleasant calling customer service repeatedly and asking for help but they never get real answers. They even canceled a trip they were supposed to take because they though the car was going to be delivered during that time.

They are not active Twitter or Internet forum users but I grew tired of hearing them get excited for car to be “arriving in 24hrs” and then having their hearts broken multiple times. So I decided to see what I could find out and go to help them.
My dad has said several times that it’s not the dealers fault and he doesn’t want to hurt them. But I don’t like seeing my parents ignored either.
d

So I guess the bees making my honey have found better flowers somewhere else.

Imagine waiting over a year and being "d***d around by ford", only to have Eloise come on here to tell you to be nice...

It's one thing to have a date update on the ford website, it's completely different when your dealership give you several "concrete" dates, you cancel your plans for them, you shift your priorities and then you get nothing. And this doesn't sound like it was once or twice, looks like it's been going on for over 6 months. That is completely wrong and irresponsible of both the dealership and Ford.

Did we all read the same thread?
