Does the hidden OTA status on the ford site still work? I’m curious if it’s queued for me or not. All I can find when I search is the schedule.

My car got this today. Last Power-Up it received was 4.1.1 on December 20. I'm excited to see them resume. ?

A dealer tech updated many modules in March so that may explain why I had the long drought.

The car got two of the three recent priority updates during the last several weeks, too.

Not sure, My car already had that version

Vehicle Information
- DID 9140 - MU5T-14H394-AAM

And this is for sure the only file that went on USB

DID 9140 is CBZMAP, (BlueCruise Map). My car had several versions of it and the -AAM version showed up in May 2023. It appears to update as a background OTA because it was not part of a Power UP or FDRS update for my car.

It has been ages since we got an OTA that actually added or changed a feature.
Yea. My 2022 hasn't been updated since 1/18/23 and that was 4.1.1. I went to my dealer to have them check if any additional updates had been attempted and their system showed none had been attempted since the last one. I understand that it is random but I don't understand how some get multiple updates before others catch up. And yes, I have tried all the "tricks" and have the schedule set appropriately.

I wonder what these GWM updates are doing? Seems like we get a lot of them

The GWM name just enumerates one of the functions, to connect the CANBUS networks together.

In my old Ford cars, OBD2 CAN and MSCAN connect to actual CANBUS networks. In the Mach-E they both connect to the GWM module and the MSCAN connection runs at the same high speed as the regular OBD2 CAN connection.

Since it connects the networks, it makes sense to have it run car wide applications. It has applications for Telematics, EV Charging, Connected Blue Zone (CBZ)(part of BlueCruise), HV battery monitoring, Phone As A Key (PAAK), zone lighting, etc..., The part numbers for these applications are enumerated in DIDs 8060 and 8061.

I am not surprised that it has frequent updates.

I don’t want to start a new thread so just asking here. My car continues to say no updates found and it’s currently on 4.1.2.

It is 2 weeks old CPO. Is there anything I am not doing right besides waiting? Thanks.

I think it’s a patience thing from my experience.

I’ve not been chasing and harassing anybody over when updates will arrive, have casually asked dealer once during servicing to check that mine has all updates it is due at a time a lot were frothing over updates and dealer said all was up-to-date.

I only happen to notice updates have happened when something does something differently to before or if the bings, bongs, pings and dings change.

So, in short, it’s about hanging in there, if your car’s connected to you WiFi preferably, is scheduled to update, it’ll happen when it should and you’ll get what’s due to you as & when it’s time.

Enjoy the car, and just stand back & admire whilst you’re waiting for your updates……

My 21J1 in EA received it this am, but nothing showed up in FDRS.

So don't know if they are selectively enabling it in OTA and not in FDRS.

I posted this yesterday on another thread but it seems appropriate to post it here as well:

Friday, I got the “ Improved DC Fast Charging” OTA update. Since I picked up my car on 5/23, in addition to Friday’s update, I have received the following OTA updates:
Ford Power-up 4.2.1 (5/31), 4.2.2.2 (6/1), 4.2.3 (6/8), 4.2.4 (6/15), 4.2.5 (6/30), and “Customer Satisfaction Program 21B36” (6/30).

I saw it mentioned elsewhere and it reflects my experience. You need to set it to auto-update sometime during the day when you think you'll have driven recently (so the 12v is charged up) and you are away from home (NOT on wifi). On wifi in the garage neither of my cars has ever updated - when I've driven around for the specific purpose of getting an update it has worked.

Can't promise it's that way for everyone, but it has consistently been the case for me over the last year.
