In EA, just got this, and it seemed to enable the new, more advanced remote climate control options.
It would have been great to read that in the release notes, but they were back to the hopelessly vague drivel we used to get.

21, job 1 in EAP. No updates in months. Ford is probably mad at me for being critical of their crappy ota process. Oh well. Counting down until I sell my mme

I have the same ol, same old climate controls after this update today. No visible change.

Me too…same specs. I haven’t noticed any changes or quirks — but only drove 6 miles, didn’t spend much time checking things out.

You probably won't notice any difference. These updates (GWM) are usually a prelude to an update which changes other modules which you might notice.

I have the same ol, same old climate controls after this update today. No visible change.
May take a day or so after the update completed to enable the feature on the back end.

Using FDRS, I updated the GWM on my 2021 RWD Standard Range MME about a month ago, updating the software version from -PAL to -RAK. Is this the version now coming by OTA?

Yes, it should be. There has only been 1 GWM update for 2021s in the last while. I updated mine to LJ8T-14H021-RAK on December 7th via FDRS and there‘s only been the APIM after that.

I received this update overnight on my Job 1 '21., though I didn't realize it until after the fact because there was no in-car notification (and no radio reset blasting me with static!).

Very odd issue arose and I'm now wondering whether it could possibly be related to this update. First, fairly early on during my drive I heard a chime - bu bu bum, bu bu bum. Helpful I know. It's a familiar one but not the start up or shut down sound. That confused me because no messages or the like popped up anywhere when I heard it.

But then during the remainder of my 30 minute drive a battery meter kept popping up on my instrument cluster screen replacing the lane-keeper icon (oh no, haha!) and moving the speedometer to the middle (okay, cool).

This was random, but just about every several seconds. No idea what that's about but we'll see whether it happens this evening on the drive home.
