OTA Powerup Software 2.6.0. First update in a while.

I will say, I made an issue about this with the wife on Sunday night when I saw all the update notices start hitting. She didn’t want me to leave, so I didn’t go, but then I drove to work the next day, then to school in the evening. I plugged in at the school’s parking garage and hit “update now.” Nothing. No power-ups waiting, it said.

I walked into class, set my bag down, and I got a message from FordPass saying “Hey, you’re now on 2.6! Way to go, stud!” (I might be paraphrasing a bit.) So I have zero faith in the “update now“ button and feel like I just need to start driving to campus and back repeatedly.

The update now button is only for the ones that require the car to be parked. Which we’ll all get in a couple more updates

Going out for a drive this afternoon, maybe that will help bring on the next update? Nothing happened while the car was just sitting in the garage for the first half of May!

Seems like going out for a drive helps the car update. I swear I read that somewhere else on this forum. My 2.6.0 update did come after a 45 minute drive.

Hopefully it will succeed after another try. I think I probably was in bad cell area and was on a short drive.

2.6 failed for me last night, but I did get 2.7.1 on Monday morning. Hoping my 2 steps forward, one strip back (previous update was 2.3) will restore lane centering at some point.

Yes, as others have mentioned the updates don’t necessarily happen in “order.” I also seemed to have received 2.0 after 2.3.

Yea, it's confusing. I thought I saw other members who had 2.3.0 and then got the 2.6.0 OTA which installed correctly.

I had multiple updates installed via the dealer, so perhaps I have a mix of module updates that would span multiple OTA versions which could be causing problems.

I will see if the OTA installs correctly tonight.

Just received notification of 2.8.2 update successful. Says I should have bluetooth, but have not tried it yet. I have received no updates for months. Has been stuck in 2.1.0 forever.

No. The message I got from FP was "You're rolling with the last Ford Power-Up". It's not that latest got cutoff either, since in message center it also says last Ford Power-Up.

Have had my GT since September. Zero updates so far. I don't have a Blue cruise capable car though, which seems to be where most updates are geared towards. Not sure what version I have either.

I have had a frunk button in the app since day one, only drawing in games. So it's not the latest version, despite my car saying it is.

Here in NL a lot of folks just got 1.7.1 quickly followed by 2.1.0. Now waiting for 2.3.0, would love to have full screen Apple CarPlay.
