Wow, preconditioning with Apple Maps!!! I hope this is true. That being said, I find Apple Maps very lackluster on knowing about all the charger options. Recent trip showed me how far off Apple Maps is. I'm thinking of OBD dongle with ABRP Premium ($5/month)....

This really has my hopes up that what we are seeing here is an update that is going out to as many vehicles as possible to get them all on a similar software level so we can get better timely updates going forward.
