I noticed today my driver side headlight has a gap between it(the bottom of it) and the bumper but the passenger side fits much tighter.

Anyone else have anything like this? Car was bought used...could someone have hidden some damage repair and this difference is due to that?

This forum seems to be having issues attaching images lately. Not sure why.

Did you try pushing the bumper in? Is there room under the headlight for that to happen? There are clips under the headlight that hold in the bumper cover edge. Looks to me it is not clipped in. Did you just buy this car used or have you had it since '23?

Just tried pushing bumper, no dice. Seems too low if anything. Though up by top corner closest to fender you can see the headlight has rubbed a bit on the bumper.

I bought it used.

Ok, thought if you had some kind of warranty they could take a look at it.

The first thing I’d say is this is mass produced car so some variance in panel fit & gapping may be nothing to get hung up about.

A pre-owned car, or even a first time owned car that’s been in use for any time can have things happen to it about which you may have no knowledge and could move these plastic and other parts that are adjacent to each another.

So, if it really bothers you enough, it maybe an idea to remove the bumper, carefully examine that inside & out, headlight mountings for damage/repairs etc and see if there’s any movement in any of the mounting points for those and other parts to facilitate adjustment and the “averaging” out of gaps.

Hope this helps in at least a small way.

Take care and enjoy your ‘Stang👌
