Parking Brake Failure after 2.7.2

I just got the 2.7.2 OTA last night. It was installed without issue. While driving the car this morning, I got a red error Parking Brake Failure Service Now message. I have read that 2.7.2 did affecting braking. I can still drive vehicle but orange parking light icon is on dashboard. Tried apply and release parking brake a few times.

Other people mention a sensor issue in the past but why causal to this update? Anyone experience similar issue? It seems like it will be a process taking it to the dealer, time to diagnose, waiting for parts, etc.

Have you driven the car since? Sometimes letting it sit allows it to settle down and reset. May not be an issue at all.

2.7.2 downloaded to my car last night after failing a couple of days ago, the only thing I saw which was previously mentioned is 1PD is deselected. Reselected this morning before exiting garage with no other issues

I got this message shortly after getting my car (over a year ago). Took it to the dealer. They diagnosed, ordered parts, and repaired when they got the parts a few days later. I doubt it’s related to the power-up update.

Just happened right after update. Odd. Does pop up again so driving doesn’t clear it. Once it was stuck on would not release. Restated car and it released.
