Perhaps build a garage for the Mustang Mach E at the end of your driveway and drive your daughter to the Mustang in another vehicle with seat heaters that can be adjusted while the vehicle is in reverse?
I’m just trying to think of a practical solution for your unique use case
???
Or, perhaps just do what most of the large estates near me do and put in a circular drive?
???
Lol, yes we have a loop at our house before heading out the actual driveway. But if I were to back up the whole driveway…. Like the UPS drivers when they pull up to my gate near my house ? let’s just hope they have their seat heater on before putting it in reverse.

The video feed does not block the HVAC controls at all. But that got me curious, so I just went out and tried it. All sliders are disabled, but things that have a +/- to tap on still work. So you can hit the +/- to adjust the fan speed or the temp. You can also turn the heated seats onto or off of Auto, but you can't control the level. This functionality may have been added in the recent HVAC module update.

Sorry, yes, I meant that the camera view blocks the sliders, rather than the actual +/- controls. It's been like this for the longest time; I remember being impressed that Ford actually seemed to have thought about this mode of operation.

None of the hvac controls work while in reverse. But just to be clear, it’s only the control that is disabled. If the seat heaters are on before you put the car in reverse, they will continue to function even when you drive backwards.
There are a lot of controls that are disabled when you are in reverse.

Astonished that this actually became a thread.

It’s not a new feature, my daughter noticed the seat heater issues a while back but we did see you could put it in auto and I have changed temp as well, prior to blue cruise updates. Never really bothered us because we just turn right around and drive foreward pretty quickly (even though my driveway is a little over a 1/4mile ?)
Not the seat heater part, the part where you can change temp and fan speed.

Before the recent update…… you couldn’t while in reverse.

Maybe the behavior was changed in the last Sync update that moved the A/C button to the main screen. If that's the case, it probably always worked that way for 2022 owners.
