If tomorrow, an option appears on my infotainment screen asking me to pay $2500 to unlock the 5 second rule, I will.

I would probably do the same…but also that’s sort of BS considering some of us bought the top end “Performance” model. They should send a software update asking is if we want full performance in exchange for a shorter battery warranty or some dumb shit like that.

I agree completely of course. When I bought my 50th Anniversary 5.0, if it cut power after 5 seconds for any reason other than my own fault redlining the tach or something, I’d be livid.

I absolutely LURVE my MME GT. It’s actually my wife’s but I try to steal it as much as I can. But goodness the 5SR is ridiculous.

And what about the member here who empirically demonstrated that there’s no thermal issues?? Cmon FoMoCo hit us with an in-app purchase on our GT/GTPE and unlock this beast so my neighbour isn’t so condescending in his Model Y Perf…
