This is my first post here. I really hope I am posting this in the right place.
I've had my Mach-E Premium for about a week and I am completely satisfied with my purchase, so far. I am still learning all the features.
There are some numbers on the pillar for the drivers door. I can't find anything in all of my paperwork that says what the combination is.
Where is this recorded and is there some way to change it?
Thanks in advance

Look in your glove box and you should see a card with the code #.

If it’s not in the glove box with the various manuals as pointed out by @DugthePug Dad, look on the sun visors.

After that, the factory code also on the module down by the front passenger feet. You’ll need your be a bit of a contortionist to see it, take a pic with your phone. There’s also a convoluted way to get it using both fobs, swapping them out, turning the car on and off and seeing the code pop up on a screen instructions can be found somewhere.

Finally, your dealer can pull it up on the mx computers. Or ask your sales guy or sales manager to go find the card. Some dealers pull the cards to keep the card from prying eyes and sticky fingered people.

Didn’t know all that. Mine was in my glove box.

Once you get the factory (5 digit) code it will open your doors etc. You'll want to set your own code so you can remember it. The code card will tell you how to do this. I recommend you enter the zip code where you grew up because you remember it. Then (yes there's always a "then") you should set up your Back up Pass Code (Should be called the emergency start code). This requires ten digits. Just double your (Zip) door code and easy peasy you now have a ten digit code that you can remember in case you need an emergency start. Of course if Rocco the bully from 3rd grade has moved into your community and grew up in the same zip code then all bets are off because he'll steal your Pony even though he swears by ICE.

Enjoy the ride.

Backup passcode is a minimum of 8 characters, not 10 digits. Mine is 13. Cannot be setup intil you setup PaaK.

I will elaborate a bit more the two methods mentioned above for you to find your factory keyless entry keypad code.

First method if you have both key fobs handy, you will find a slot in the console storage bin that holds a key fob. Place the first fob in the slot. Without touching the brake, push the start button and wait 5 seconds. Push the start button again (car off) and quickly replace the fob with the second fob and push the start button again. After 5 seconds, the factory code will be shown in the drivers display. It make no difference how you place the fob in the holder and the drivers door can be open or closed. I have used this method at least a dozen times on various Mach-E's and other Fords and it works great.

The second method is to locate the factory code on the BCM/fuse panel behind the large plastic cover in the passenger footwell. That cover just pulls off (4 retainer clips holding it on) and right behind it is the BCM/fuse panel. There is a large white sticker on the BCM and your code can be found there. It is a 7 digit code which is for Europe and China, all other countries including the US use a 5 digit code. Your factory code will be the first 5 of the 7 digits

The card should be shrink-wrapped with the owner’s manual. For both my 2021 and 2024 the sales guys handed me the shrink wrapped manual at the same time he handed me the keys and the card was in the shrink wrap. Some dealers will break the shrink wrap and store the card separately from the manual and keys. 😁🐩

Slightly off topic but: don't forget to test your personal code and your backup code at least once monthly. You can find threads in the forum about personal codes not working when needed in a pinch, so test them on a regular basis to make sure they work. Or at least have the factory code stored inconspicuously on your phone or a password-protected cloud file.

One more thing. I found this you tube video from Stillwell ford very informative. You may find it useful:

Yay, the key fob(s) wworked! I got a 5 digit number from the drivers display.
It works to open the door.
I don't want to sound like a total moron but, what else does it do?

Nothing.

I had to call my dealer who then rounded up the manuals and the card. Don’t know why it wasn’t given to me when I drove off the lot.

You'll need that 5-digit code to set your own personal door code.
