So it shows on the site prior to the actual update?

According to the site, I've got it already and can play the Bridge Battle, nothing in the car yet...

Yes, that's what it did for me. I went out and started the car and then hit the little update thingy at the top of the screen.

You may need to start the car for it to be initiated before whatever your update time is set to.

Got 4.1.2 today after I came home from work, and I'm not in Early Access. Happy with most of the changes...except for the smaller CarPlay/larger info tiles below (I liked seeing tire pressure and trip efficiency).

It isn't. If anything it helps put things into perspective. And maybe Ford will pay more attention to the fact that there are a lot of people stuck on old software updates and they need to do something about it.
Hell, my 21 premium is 2 years old this month and i'm at 2.7.4.. Gaslighting from Ford at its finest.. Your OTA notices are pretty much meaningless,, No more promises please, just deliver.. WW

If you still haven't got any OTA updates past 2.7.4, you are probably stuck and need a dealer to fix it, there's a TSB about this

Spoke too soon. I voted no and then my car got the update literally 2 minutes later when I turned it off. I’m not in EA.

I think the bug is in the OTA deployment. The connected services team opened a case for me and told me to go to the dealership. Last I checked, 4.1.2 isn't available for me in FDRS, but a number of updates are available and hopefully one of them will get me unstuck. Very annoying. Earliest appointment is this coming Monday.
OTA has been a buggy mess for us since the beginning. Not expecting much any time soon, lol. I really wish Ford would fix their app while they're at it.

I received 4.1.1 on Friday January 12th. On Saturday morning I went out to go for a drive and noticed the new UI and was surprised that the updates happened back to back so quickly.

I went to the software updates and saw nothing related to 4.1.2 being installed. Checked fordpass and also had nothing saying that the install had happened and only showed the latest update as the 4.1.1 install. I did not see anything either in the vehicle or fordpass saying that 4.1.2 had installed until Monday.

While weird that the install update never showed I’m happy to have received it despite not being in early access.

Not sure if this makes much sense, you'd see failed updates still if it was something on your end. Sounds like it's all in the Ford OTA deployment team's hands. Wish some insiders here would let us know what's going on, cause I've seen some of them complaining about this too. Especially with some vehicles not even having the updates available in FDRS yet.

You’re probably right. Unless my car has some weird software configuration which is causing Ford to think I’m not eligible for the update, and which would not register as an install failure.

I don’t know if Ford periodically queries cars on its end to see what software they are running. I would think Ford would have to do this - otherwise any updates pushed via FDRS would be unknown on Ford’s end (unless eventually reported by a service center) and play havoc with OTA deployment.

Yeah, seems like if a module isn't working properly it may just fail quietly.

As was said earlier, I would suggest you take it in and ask them to do a full scan. I did that for mine, and they discovered that my BlueCruise, even though it was working, had some things that didn't install correctly.

And, what a coincidence, I've been able to get OTAs since then.
