Possible to disable wireless CarPlay?

As of last week, we started having real issues with Apple CarPlay on our Mach-E, which has worked flawlessly over the past year. This morning I've had to reboot Sync in our Mach-E three times, and reboot her phone twice, then remove and re-pair them before CarPlay finally worked. It's gotten to be beyond frustrating.

Does anyone know if there's a way to disable wireless CarPlay and only used wired USB connection?

I've tried disabling wireless app projection, but when I attempt to re-pair and enable CarPlay in the Sync, it forces me to re-enable wireless app projection.

If anyone has any tips, I'd surely appreciate them guys!

Why do you need to disable it? Just plug in the phone you want to use for wired CarPlay. That’ll take priority.

Disable this option below - that disables wireless car play - currently I am wired CarPlay only.

Thanks guys, this worked like a charm. I've disabled wireless app projection and simply click Enable in Sync when the prompt came-up upon connecting the USB cable.

Now it only connects via USB cable, and the connection is instant!

It also charges the phone unlike that magnetic charging pad that only works for a few seconds.

What version of iOS are you on? I’ve had that in the same location since at least 15.

Ohh on my phone ok. I can get there but no option for wired or wireless. I think am on iOS 16

Did you read - really read the toggle message - it’s there in my top image. The yellow circle cuts off the words a bit. Last part of the second paragraph.
But if that is on, then make sure wireless app projections is enabled on your MachE Sync settings. Those should be the only two options; Bluetooth is on on your phone (and wifi)?

I’m a new owner and my wife was unhappy with the car because wireless Apple CarPlay was so bad. This forum is cheaper than couples therapy ?. Thank you!!!
