Actually, range is probably a bigger advantage than BlueCruise.

If you are concerned about range, then the RWD Mach-e with the extended range battery will give you 70 more miles of EPA range than the Audi - that's about 30% greater range on the Mach-e. Both cars will lose approximately the same percentage of range based on temperature.

I've had my Mach-e for 2 1/2 years now and its been good. Only minor issues, and only 1 trip to dealer (for the HVJB recall). I've got the AWD version, so range is slightly lower than RWD versions. I get maybe a 5% range hit (from EPA) in the high-summer, can generally exceed EPA range in mild temps (60's to 80's), and can see as much as a 50% reduction in range in severe winter (10 degrees, snowing, 30 mph headwind and I could only manage 140-ish miles max range, so maybe 120 miles of actual driving before needing to stop to charge).

My opinion: I wouldn't let the hands-free aspect of BC be an aspect of my decision (unless it's considered as a negative.) $800/year subscription free, and it's not reliable enough for that cost for most people.

Don't get me wrong: I love the Mach-E, but for most people, the hands-free aspects of BC are just a gimmick at this point.

At current temps you can get RWD ER from East TN region to central FL off 3 charges, or to Cleveland range off 2 (probably 1…but I didn’t push it). Next week I’ll be doing 1.5hr outside NYC and it should be 3 charges.

Pretty much anything in a 700-800 mile range has not added too much time to my trips. (Eating, taking dogs out, bathroom, etc.) vs taking an ICE vehicle.

Of which BlueCruise has pretty much 99% self driven me on these trips. IMO try it yourself, different people have different versions. And some are just bitter it seems.

We bought the exact car you are describing back in March. We have had zero problems and have driven it about 3800 miles so far. Most of that is city driving but we do regularly visit our daughter 180 miles away (one way). I didn’t see anyone mention but please consider installing a level 2 charger at home. Once you do that all range anxiety goes away for daily use. For trips, a little practice and you will get the hang of it. It’s hard for others to give you range estimates because there are so many variables. Terrain and driving habits in addition to temperature have an impact. “PlugShare” and “A Better Route Planner” are two apps you will want to get familiar with. Don’t expect your dealer or salesman to know anything about the car. There are great videos on YouTube and a lot of helpful people on the forum here.

• Realistically, how much range can we expect at temperatures of 40F, 72F, and 100F, with reasonable levels of climate control and pretty-conservative driving style?
• We can use Tesla Superchargers now (if we have the NACS adaptor), right? Does the adaptor limit charging speed?
• We can still use Electrify America, EVgo, Chargepoint, etc, right? That is, Ford striking a deal with Tesla didn’t PO Electrify America or something crazy like that, right?
• How hot does the frunk get in 95-degree weather? On the one hand, it’s not ventilated, so it should be hotter than outside, but on the other hand, it’s not exposed to sunlight either, so hmmm…
• Please tell me about the reliability or not of your Mach-E…?

I have a 2021 RWD Extended battery. Some have been answered but I’ll give data with exact model thoughts.
At 40F maybe 250. No difference at 72F or 100F expect advertised 300 mile range. Note I have smaller EPA range and useable battery on the 2021.
Yes to Tesla, no to any limit. Same as CCS fast chargers. You can use any network you like for charging. The frunk does get warmer than the cabin. I don’t put refrigeration groceries in there but regular cargo is fine. Zero show stopping issues with reliability. The RWD has the simplicity advantage over other trims. Recall and CSP work were all precautionary. Only complaints are really slightly stiff ride and sometimes glitchy infotainment/carplay. Bluecruise 1.0 is probably not worth the subscription unless you get a newer version and spend a lot of time on mapped roads.

Ready to go there! We have a Clipper Creek 24A charger (~5.3KW), currently use it to charge our Prius Prime PHEV.

I have the PlugShare app, and have heard good things about the Better Route Planner app as well. I have periodically used the PlugShare app to monitor the day-to-day health of certain chargers on certain routes I would expect to drive most often when we get a full EV.

Our old 2009 regular Prius’ battery recently died at just under 140K miles, so we ditched it. That then is why we’re now in the market for a real EV.

Our current 2017 PHEV “Prius Prime” just crossed 100Kmiles, so good time to take some load off it! ?

I was a little surprised to hear “slightly-stiff ride.” We just now did an RWD test drive (previously test-drove a GT — not really what we’re looking for, but nice car!). Anyway, it seemed to us to have a quite-smooth ride, all in all.

Just took a test drive. It was 104F today! The first thing we noticed was that the glass roof will need a shade! Does Ford, or perhaps a 3rd party, make a removable shade for the glass roof?

I have a 2022 CR1 ER. The only main issue I have had issues is with level 2 charging in a garage in Texas summer. Not sure if it is specific to my car but the charging rate is reduced to 5KW both with tesla wall charger and ford mobile.My tesla MY charges fine at 11KW in the hot garage. Also maybe due to heavier ER Battery and AWD I had to change my tires at 21K OEM Michelin Primacy. Minor concerns are bouncy ride for back seat riders PAAK and car play connectivity glitches.
