I think 4.x updates are coming to F150 Lightning first, we may have to wait a little while after that.
So right you are. Unfortunately not on my Lightning yet.

12. GPS position errors and conflicts will now be resolved through the use of Ford's all-new and exclusive Digital Dartboard Geographical Resolution program or DDGR.

A frunk button may be included in one of those updates, whether it works or not is another story. ;)

Not necessarily. Just because you heard about an upcoming series of PowerUps doesn't mean they won't be pushed to FDRS first. Doesn't mean they will either.

I didn't renew my FDRS subscription when it expired last month, so playing the "wait and see" game is going to be an experience, although I believe the game in this case is actually just called "wait."

Actually, he'll be the only Job 1 with the button, but it will open all other Job 1 frunks except his own.

I was able to activate the frunk button with FDRS on my Job 1 Mach E, that’s what you’re talking about?

You can have my frunk button. I never use it. I’d rather have a rear hatch button on the main screen.
Agreed. I've used mine twice only because I see people complaining and want to try it out.

Yup, and the only place I ever use a ā€œbuttonā€ to open my frunk is in the FordPass app. When I am in the car, it just seems easier to use the mechanical release than to dig through menus to push the button on the screen. Maybe I am old. ??

So, Ford needs to not only update the software in. The cars, but also their FP server back-end so that it recognizes that the SW and HW are present and displays the button for 2021 Job1 cars. Pretty lame to have the SW available (even if only through FDRS) and not have their servers recognize it. ??

I use the Frunk all the time. It’s far more useful to me than the trunk. Things in the Frunk stay hidden.
is this code for something? do I need to find a ticket book? it's been a while...
