FordPass is reporting my Mach-e is at 90% SOC (charged overnight and I have not diven it today) and its been plugged in all day. Yet...

Charge_Level.webp

The 12V is at 43%, correct? Explains the error message for sure.
Correct. Unfortunately, the car does not charge the 12 volt battery when it's plugged in, only when it's actively charging (or when the car is on). Do you charge at 40-48 amps usually? Drive infrequently / short trips?

Nope, commute with it every day, charge it to 90% every night (though not a long charge as daily driving only takes about 15 to 20% off). Will be taking it for a long cruise tomorrow and will check the status afterward. Got an appointment with my dealer a week from Monday. Thank you for your help here. I'll monitor it closely until it gets to the dealer.

I charge at 40AMPS.

Need a little help.. my car was in a body shop for over a month and I’ve lost track of what power-up version I’m currently on. Can anything be deduced from this sync screen?

That's lower than I would expect for that much driving. Do you have any 12V accessories or anything hardwired to the car (e.g. a camera) that could be drawing power? If your EVSE is programmable you could also try reducing the amperage so they your car takes longer to charge.

And beyond that, just monitoring and seeing how it fluctuates before after your commute, the level at night and then again in the morning (you may need to refresh Ford pass so the car wakes up and pushes the latest data to the cloud) should give you an idea what might be going on.

Good luck!

The screen info says that you are on at least 6.3 but doesn't tell you more than that. Someone with PTS access could use your VIN to estimate your current software level.

You are looking in the wrong place. Under your vehicle settings go to "Software Updates" and it will tell you the last update your vehicle received. If you use the FordPass app it can also tell you the latest update your vehicle received.

Right. I have the same connectivity update that you show here, but I’m wondering what 6.x version number I’m on.

As I explained above, only someone with Ford PTS (dealer) access will be able to tell you the software level. If sufficiently interested post in the big "FDRS" thread and I'm sure someone will be kind enough to look into it.

After getting the 12V battery charged back up to 88% after charging to 100% overnight, I was able to install the 24-PU0119-DC-CHG4 this morning.

@Just Lurking, after the 150 mile trip with a L2 charging session in the middle of it, the 12V got up to 96%.

Usually a 12V battery low situation. You can check what your car reports as 12V battery at:
https://www.ford.com/myaccount/account-dashboard

There are several threads on steps to top up your 12V battery. Basically, the 12V battery only charges while the car is "On" or while you're charging the high-voltage battery. So short trips and charging infrequently at high amp rates doesn't give the 12V battery much time to charge.

So aside from hooking up a battery charger, your options are to leave the car "On" for a while (disable auto-off), charge it more slowly (turn down your L2 amp rate if you have that option or use the included L1 charger if you received one), or go for long drives. Or some combination thereof.
thx, mine has not gone through for a couple of days, was wondering the cause. My 12v was also around 78%, when i charge to 90% nightly with about 50 miles a day. A bit disappointing in 12v challenges 15 months and 16k in.

Yes, 12V is at 43% SOC. I found the 12V only charges when the HV battery is charging. If you have the car plugged in but it's not charging, then the 12V will not charge and will actually continue to drain.

You have to sign into your Ford Account from a browser and then pull up your account's car list. The charge level shown is the 12V Battery level, not the EV battery.

Yeah, unfortunately, how the car handles 12 volt battery management has a bit of a design flaw. There was supposedly an OTA designed to help a little bit in recent months, but it's not clear how big an effect it's had.
