I had the same messages on dash and FordPass. My power up update is the same. Just charges overnight to 100%. I restarted the car and the dash error went away. Drove the car and called ford concierge. They were very responsive and transferred me to the EV team. They were very informative and took my information. They gave me a ticket number, direct line and a contact’s first and last name. I then did multiple restarts without a recurring service vehicle soon. I went to an EV certified ford dealer. The assistant service manager said if the dash message went away his success in diagnostics would be limited. If it appears and remains to come back and he would do an immediate diagnostics.
In follow up I did a round trip of 340 miles, 80 degree temps highway speed of 75 mph. Did one DC charge from 14% to 38% with no issues.
I did not have sense of power loss. No error messages. I have a 2021 premium AWD, typically charge with a level 2 Juice box. Always charge to 90%. 100% if starting a trip over 100 miles. My anxiety is less and hope software diagnostic algorithms will improve.

I had had the same problem 3 months ago where Ford made a reset of the car. But it didn’t fix the problem.

Last weekend the same fault came again I Took the car to ford dealer they shifted a power connection. That were above the battery, so there had to take the hole battery packed out for installation. It is a well known problem according to my dealer.

It sounds like it is quite prevalent in 2021 models. I had been hoping my car wouldn’t encounter this, but I think because my mileage is low, since I have a home office, it took longer to happen.

I am having the same issue with my 2022 GT (non-performance) version. Just had my 10k mile service done (tire rotation), and while driving for Mother's Day a couple of hours away I had one pedal driving on, and when I was going to decelerate at a stop light I got the first error you mentioned and my one pedal turned off (which, I almost hit the car in front of me because of it). Adaptive cruise control turned off too and wouldn't come back on. I then got to my parents, did a factory reset of vehicle, and the errors went away and cleared in the Fordpass app. However, after driving for another 30 minutes later that day, same error came back and I lost acceleration power, as now the second error you mentioend appeared.

I previously had the 2021 Premium and had multiple issues with that vehicle. Had to engage support multiple times and have Ford corporate intervene to "manage" my multiple cases. Now, I am frustrated about this issue on my "upgrade" to the GT. Going to reach back out to Ford but this is just insane for the amount of $ we are paying for the vehicle. I love my car but regret buying it.

Hey there! If you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info, I can look into your concerns on my end.

I beat on my 2021 GT-PE a little bit when it was new (full throttle blasts, a little bit of stoplight derby, etc.). I ended up not flooring it at all after the first month and a half because of my dog getting cancer and then finding out about this HVBJB issue. I am planning on beating the heck out of it to make it fail this summer. Sorry to hear this has happened to you. Downright silly for the OTA update to clear the trouble code. ??

The HVBJB is a known potential problem for the Mach. The recall was just a software patch that gave a warning of impending failure so If you are having this issue you should get it into the dealer. I can not say how it will be for you but it appears in many cases now to be a fairly straight forward and short turn around warranty repair. Once replaced very small chance of another failure.

Oh no! Sorry to hear this. This is exactly why I am reluctant to drive my MME, so it is currently sitting in the garage while my husband and I share one vehicle (not convenient but what can I do?). I plan on running some short errands to see alerts service again (so there will be something to check for service appt), but I don’t want to be stranded in the meantime or do damage. I wish my service appointment was sooner. Because software cleared all my errors, it appears nothing is wrong, when indeed there is, otherwise I wouldn’t have received those errors, or lost a certain percentage of power when errors were present. I feel like I’m driving a ticking time bomb. I plan on updating my status once serviced. Hoping I get some answers and results. My car was delivered September of 2021, so I have gone this long with no issues, but as you said, with the large price tag…it is discouraging. On the flip side, I try and have patience because this is a new build, and there is bound to be hiccups. Just hoping my hiccups are minor. Good luck and I hope you get good results.

Update from service on 5/24/23: The software update has wiped out all history of error codes (as suspected—car had powertrain malfunction/reduced power as well as high-voltage battery warning and reduced power until cleared). When the tech got into the ford pass history, he found codes for battery charger coupler temp sensor a & b and lock position. No other errors were found. Ford did not have any recalls for that particular error. So, really all I can do is continue to drive, and if errors surface, schedule service. ?

It sounds like your car is the same as mine. I also have a 2021 AWD, premium GT extended range battery. From what was posted, I think the HVBJB is an issue. Others have reported errors clearing with software update, but problem not fixed. My appointment isn’t until 5/24, so I am going to keep in garage (nose facing out) and if need to drive, do so in close range of home. Luckily I have a home office and I don’t have to commute. Still it is an inconvenience and I hope to get this fixed soon so I am not stranded. Ford has been helpful and I have the name of a BEV Specialist in case something goes wrong between now and my appointment.
I am having this exact same issue - but oddly after 26k of driving. It happened after the most recent service and is now happening almost daily. Really bad as no local town truck operator will tow the Mach-E without dollies. The dealership is backed up for 2 weeks so I think I'll get a 12V external charger to carry around whenever this problem happens. Sucks!

Well, it came back. May 2023 was last time. During a normal pass on a two lane road, the ‘service vehicle soon popped up, along with red vehicle and wrench. This morning my Ford app is displaying 'high voltage battery warning' and 'power train malfunction/reduced power'. There was a software update on October 1st, but the powertrain and battery errors happened later October 3. I called my dealership, but unfortunately they are backed up and their electric vehicle mechanic has certain days he is there. Wondering if I should try and drive to dealership and leave knowing I may be without a vehicle for a couple weeks. Darn…

The dealer I took mine to for HVBJB service told me that their guy is backed up 2-3 weeks on appointments. They also told me that they felt that he was going to have some free time from those appointments and if I would leave my car they would likely get it done before I had a shot at an appointment. This ended up being true. ??

Talk to your service advisor and get a feel for how he/she feels the EV tech’s week looks. Maybe they can put your car in the “fill-in” queue (as my service advisor called it). ?‍♂?

Thank you for confirming! I was thinking same thing and decided to drop off and leave in case they can squeeze me in when free. At least this time SVS stayed on screen for Service when I dropped off.
