Hello fellow Mach-E owners!

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues with preconditioning while the car is unplugged?
I live in northern Norway and like having the cabin warm when going to and from work this time of year.

In the morning I usually get the notification that the cabin temp is done heating, and when leaving from work I can look out of my office a few minutes before and see the lights is on and know the cabin is being heated.

The last week this has not occured a single day, both morning and evening.
I've tested removing the schedule from the app and set it again, changed the times, deleting from app then set in car and not once (while unplugged) has it started heating the cabin.
And Yes, before anyone thinks I've not checked the "prepare cabin while unplugged" it's on, this has been on for about a year and worked every day until recently.

With the car plugged into my home charger it works, I dont have a charger at work. I know I can just start it manually, but I still wonder why its not working.

I'm on the 5.11.0 version of the app and the last OTA the car got was 6.14.0 (the one bringing YT to the sync screen).

Similar experience here.

I installed FordPass 5.12 like 3 days ago. My afternoon unplugged departure time has not worked since. I have confirmed the toggle for Prepare Cabin when unplugged is set. Departure time is set, time zone is set correctly. My morning departure time while plugged in has worked fine for both days. Yesterday I could see the car from the window (out of Bluetooth range) and confirmed the car did not activate the cabin climate (no lights turned on). So I know it was not just a FP display issue. I also was able to turn the climate on manually.

Ok, abit reassuring that it's not only me experiencing this issue.
Hopefully fixed in the not too distant future :)

Just updated to 5.11 yesterday. I assume you mean a departure schedule for cabin warming and not preconditioning the batteries or you pressing remote start. I remember I had no departure schedule via Fordpass for the complete 21/22 winter. Based on past track records do not hope for a quick fix. Could be worse it is the beginning of February not November. Thinking I will hold off on 5.12 until at least the spring.

I would try deleting everything and setting it back up sitting in the car on sync. Take the phone out of the equation. Setting it up in the car worked in 21/22?

Departure schedule is correct. I've tested taking the phone out of the equation allready. It worked last winter without any hiccups, even when I had to change departure times now and then. Not that it's a huge problem, I can allways just press Remote start and the cabin will be heated in a little bit. Just like it when stuff works as intended :)

Probably a server issue, unplugged departure time is a cloud triggered remote start on a schedule. If the cloud doesn't send the request (or you are parked where there's no LTE coverage), it won't work. When you're plugged in everything is managed locally on the car's hardware.

That is a for sure? I thought both required Fords OK but that has now changed? Why can it do it all by itself when it is plugged but can not when not? Hope we see that change also. Take control of our cars/electrons.

It is just the cabin not the battery being conditioned when off plug so not a real help or problem for the car.

I have noted this winter with departure scheduling that the last 15 to 20 minutes heats the cabin but the heated seats/wheel are no longer on. The seat is cold which was the nice thing about cabin heating. It is set to warm and not last setting (which would have the seat heat on I guess if I set it to that?). But the last couple of winters the seat and wheel would be warm this winter no.

I am also seeing recent unreliability with "Departure Times".

In short: sometimes the car follows the schedule and sometimes it doesn't.

Off-plug used to be the most unreliable but now the car also fails while on-plug.

I've read that Departure Times are activated by an OTA signal to the car, and not the car actually knowing it's own Departure Times schedule and running them itself. If true, this is a ridiculously dumb design.

Off plug departure time worked today!
???‍♂?‍♀

It is the small things is life that give joy. Is your seat warm when you get in as mine is no longer for departures. Sitting down on a stone bench this winter.

For me it is all about being good to the machine and heating its batteries so always plugged for departures. If not plugged remote start is the same and a whole lot easier to set up. One tap.

Mine no longer works on or off the charger, with the selection to prepare while on the charger selected or unselected. It is very disappointing with the snow and cold. I even put in a new departure time to see if that would work.

Have you delete all and set it up in the car again on the sync screen? Changes made in car should show up on the phone. Just use the car and take the phone out to see if that works. Maybe it needs a reset?

Seems to be something on Ford's end. I have now tested everything I can possibly think of and still it's just feels like "luck" whenever it actually works. Atleast off a charger.

Same here - first time using departure times with the new Mache and sure enough, nothing happened at the designated time. Seemed to work well on our last Mache. Will keep trying though

I only precondition in the morning while the car is plugged in, so maybe it works differently when it is not plugged in, but my ‘23 MME does not light up when using scheduled preconditioning. It only lights up when I press the cabin climate button in the app.
