Wow looking at your signature you seem to have gotten delivery 2 weeks ahead of schedule, congratulations and best of luck for a drama less experience at the dealership.
My current delivery date is 3/11, so I'll probably wait for my dealership to confirm receipt of shipment before looking to work on the online paperwork. I don't get any emails from Ford due to a glitch in the email entered with the dealership during the order process, so make my job a little harder.
Yeah, I didn't expect it to arrive for at least two more weeks (hoping more than expecting). Then things suddenly happened. The dealer didn't even seem to be aware of it, although I think that's because my sales rep has two feet and an arm out the door to retirement and doesn't display any interest in participating in the full path to sell the vehicle.

It is set by the dealer. Your option would be to switch to a loan (which they can also increase the rate on), or finance elsewhere.

If they jack the rate, take it and the Options $2,500 rebate, then refinance the next week. You'll keep the rebate, they'll be hosed, and you'll have the rate you want.

Wait the DEALERSHIP is in charge of the 2.49% that options is offering right now? So I might be able to fight some with them for all my hiccups I have had along the way and get them to stay with 2.49? I mean this is a possibility?

Yes, if you have good credit.

Thanks! That is excellent to know. Makes me stop stressing a lot more knowing this, because my dealership kept telling me the rate was going up to like 3% March 1st. I was flustered because of all my delays causing me to miss the .51%, but now knowing this maybe I can get them to change that since the whole dealership knows me because of the fiasco with my vehicle. Hopefully it arrives in KC soon and gets it booty to CA asap LOL

The dealership has no idea of the future incentives, or rates, until that time period happens.

Very true, I am hoping they keep the program past 2/28 because I am expecting delivery almost right after.

The real financing was not available to me until the dealer received the vehicle. Last night they got the car off the truck. The purchase button on the Ford.com website was clickable but was not fully usable (I would get many errors when trying to finalize the purchase). Today they must have scanned something to enable the purchase because around 10:00 AM local time I could finally start the process. I just finished the online paperwork. Hoping the dealer does their part now. Will pick up tomorrow or Thursday.

Since you're getting a 2022, did you see the $750 credit for 2021->2022 model pricing change on your online paperwork?

No. But I'm doing X-Plan, which may have caused that not to be available to me.
And the Options discount is "only" $1k, not $2.5k.

I've read of some others getting $750 + X-plan so maybe dealer specific or some don't know how to deal with that $750.

Maybe they will chime in here if true.

Frankly, all of this is a mess and it's very disappointing to 1) have to shop through a dealer when I am basically doing all of their work for them, and 2) have Ford not just stick to the original price exactly as ordered.

Mostly, I'm annoyed at the legally-enforced monopoly of the dealer model. I hate having to go through some middle manager whose only purpose is to slow things down and suck up resources just to get something done. Maybe I'll change my opinion when we get to the dealer on Thursday and we settle on the previously-agreed-to price. I kind of doubt that will happen, though.

Does anyone know how long you have to close the deal after the car arrives at the dealer?

After I did paperwork online today I received a notice: "your vehicle is on hold.*"

The fine print:

*A vehicle hold sends a request to your dealer to hold the vehicle for you. If accepted, this will prevent another customer from checking out this vehicle online, but it may not prevent a customer from purchasing the vehicle in store. Contact your dealer for more information about vehicle availability, your vehicle hold, and dealer hold deposit policies.

Wow their system really sucks. This must be standard boilerplate for other cars that have not been pre-ordered. Given that we all pre-ordered the car the dealership can't actually sell it to someone else unless we have refused to buy it.

I just had my car delivered at the dealership yesterday. Can anyone walk me through how to fill out all the financial paperwork online before I get out to the dealership so I can check all the numbers beforehand. I am going to be using Ford Options and the X plan which have both been confirmed and vetted by the dealership. I can get to the Ford finance website but can't seem to proceed as I don't have an account number.
