@hybrid2bev should be able to offer advice on this. I do not think the GT has ever been at more than 1.4% on the Options Financing Plan. ?‍♂?
Sorry for the late question here since I have not applied for the Ford financing yet. MME is arriving 4-8 to 4/14/22 sometimes.

Do I apply thru Ford or the Dealership for the options? I was told if I choose the Ford option, The Dealer should credit $1500 on top of the MSRP.

Please advise if possible.......Thank you so much

You don't need to to anything until the car arrives. Once the car arrives at the dealership you should be invited to complete the process online via the Ford website eCommerce process.

The Ford Options bonus cash is either $1,000 or $2,500 depending on your zip code.

I see that you are in CA so it should be $2,500 for you.

Can you please elaborate on how you accomplished this rare achievement?
Not sure what to say. My dealer did what they are supposed to do. They had to call ford marketing with regards to doing the price match and xplan. That delayed me buying the car for a couple of days, but they figured it out.

So I got my call today. DMG GT is in and at the dealer. I am having the front windows tinted and asked them to run any open updates.

Verbally confirmed price protection is still on as well as they are letting me use current Ford plan options (1.4% for 36 mos and $1000 rebate). I add that latter part since it has been discussed here earlier (or another thread) that a dealer said they cannot do both, that it it was either price protect and the old offers or the current MSRP price and the current offer. I will let you know when I get it if the verbal agreement holds true.

Just brainstorming here but their position does not make sense. I think the models that had a $2,000 increase came standard with the ER Battery. The model with a $1,000 had the SR and that is why there was an additional increase of $1,000 for the ER option. So if a GT has a full protection for the $2,000 increase then so should a model that had the ER as an option. The dealer does get credits for price protected items on all vehicles. They are automatic and from what I saw normally small in size. I also do not believe they ar passed on to the customer. I would double check with Ford if possible. My guess Is if they do not give you the PP on the battery they will still receive the $1,000 as a credit after the sale has been verified by Ford.
Its confusing as the website says base model price only is price protected while Ford Customer services says everything is price protected. Hence going to Dealer and checking it out will call customer service and confirm and call ford with them around me.

I read one person’s post where they had to pay full price up front but dealer agreed to give them credit if they received it from Ford. At the very least if you can’t get them to protect you up front then perhaps they would agree to something like that. Of course it would require a level of trust!

With dealer when i am out i am forgotten so only leverage i have is before i sign the dotted line. Trust is rarely an option that dealer sells.

Thanks for this information. I'm having some issues with my dealer. I ordered my Premium RWD on July 31 online myself and added/upgraded to the Ice White appearance package after my order was converted to a '22, order confirmed on 10/19/21. Now the window sticker says $2,000 more than the price on 10/19. The person I was talking to when I put in the order was not the guy I've been dealing with (in internet sales). When I wanted to make my change in October, I'd been trying for weeks and couldn't get the internet sales guy to call me back (someone else ended up handling the change for me after I contacted the dealership GM). The only time I get get the internet sales guy is when I actually go into the dealer. A week ago I went in, he told me my cost would be the (updated) sticker price. When I told him it was my understanding Ford would credit the additional $2k, he said he would "write to his rep" and email me back. Of course, I haven't heard back and he hasn't responded to my emails. When I called Ford Customer Service, they told me the dealer can sell the car to me for anything they want.

Long story short, my question is if there is an official way I can confirm that the dealer will get this $2,000 back?

I'm thinking, at this point, of either making a complaint with Ford and/or writing to the GM.
I don’t think you’ll have a chance since the ice white appearance package is only offered on 2022 models and was not available on a 2021 so you could’ve ordered it last year I wish you luck I have one of them on order as well but I ordered after the price increase

You are correct. You get to choose either the incentives today or the incentive that were in place when you ordered, whichever is better. When the dealer locks the deal in SmartVincent they have the ability to select the incentive date to be either the order date or the sale date.

I haven't been tracking the rates either since I've had my car for a year now. But I think you're right that it's been 1.4% the whole time.
Thanks for confirming. However, the dealer insisted that if I wanted "current" incentives, I could indeed have them but then I would lose price protection and would need to use "current" higher price.

I finally gave up and just stuck with the incentives at the time which still included the $2500 rebate and the lower price (plus they were already 3% below MSRP so can't complain too much). I just ended up with a little higher interest rate which I may just pay off or refi.

Double-check with your dealer on how they'd like to handle financing. Mine told me that they'd rather just have me fill our the paperwork there so I skipped the Ford web site. Mine was the first Options Financing they'd done, but it only took them one phone call and 10-15 minutes to get it figured out. ?? After that it was smooth sailing. ??
