Wonder what they mean by temporary reduced like is it going to come back.

On the side note I just installed the juice box 40. Super easy install. My garage has the 14-30 dryer input so I bought an adapter for the 14-50. Able to change the amp charge to 24. In the future I might install the 14-50

The $750 CCFR is currently temporarily out of funds.

When that happens at the time you purchased, the dealer can not fulfill that amount due to lack of funds. The dealer can not go back and apply for it later so you are out of luck.

When I picked up my Lightning in July, the finance manager went on the CCFR website and confirmed it had funds - print screened it and applied it as "3rd party rebate".

I may not get that lucky in January when my MME comes in....

Quick Question: This is my first time charging the car at home. When at home should i be charging it to 100% or 80%. I know that when you are outdoors at the charger you should only do 80% because it slows down.

RTFM, 90% unless you need more.

Just charge what you need and you’ll be fine.

If you’re super careful and only keep it 50-80%, maybe you’ll have an extra 2% capacity after a decade.

Bottom line? Don’t worry about it. Charge what you need.

by necessity the high voltage/high current chargers do slow down to avoid destroying the battery.

at home with an L2 EVSE the charge currents are always like 10x less than at a DC fast charger, so i don't think it slows down too much past 80%. however, repeatedly charging to 100% in theory can wear the battery out a little. this is especially true for EVs without active battery thermal management. the MME does have battery cooling though. i think the only EV that doesn't at this point is the nissan leaf, but i could be wrong.

my tesla is down about 8% after 3 years, and this is with mostly 80% charge at home. i probably have about 20 supercharging sessions over that time. if anything was going to degrade the battery, its the supercharging. talkin' about 150-250kw here (vs. ~8kw at home on L2). bottom line is that the battery is going to degrade over time even if you baby it.
