Prospective Future Mach E owner... it's been a trip so far.

Hi all.

Thanksgiving Holidays had me test driving a 2023 Route 1 , AWD, 91kwh Mach E.. It was fun, but had some issues. Wife didn't like the gravel paint chips all over the hood (I didn't mind), also it had 55K miles on it. Seems a lot for a 2023.. Anyhos, went to Autonation Ford in FT. Worth, sat down with a guy to explore a new one. We worked on #s, got approved for 0% financing. I tried to get them to work in the 7500 tax credit as down payment (didn't know at the time you can't), they said they could do it. So later, came back in to seal the deal, only to wait 3 hrs to be told, they can't add the tax credit... They should have known that earlier, IMO. I did research back at the hotel, found out that LFP batteries are from China (which disqualifies them). Now I'm in the market for a used LFP 2wd Mach E with heated seats. I'll be snooping around to learn about these awesome EVs!

The LFP standard-range battery is new for MY24. Previous years had (I believe) NCM for the standard-range. All extended-range batteries are NCM.

You can’t get a tax credit for used unless the price is less than 25k, and it’ll it won’t be $7500. I’m sure you’ll find the right deal, consider a premium. You live in Texas and don’t need all wheel drive. A RWD premium get about the same range with the 91 kw battery, and the RDW is fun, and the premium gets better options, premium sound system, power tailgate, maybe another option or two.

Happy to Announce, I've captured a great deal at Planet Ford , Houston on a select/ comfort package/rwd vapor blue mach e. I love it! Ready for PPF and interior protection. First new car in my 48 yrs!!
