PSA: Don't Get Fleeced With Delivery Times!

The ZEV states may get a bit more vehicles allocated but I doubt the get any higher priority. Last model year many customers were complaining that Ford was focusing on what they felt were higher profit margin models so GT and AWD models were being built first. No idea if true or not but my GT went into production 3 weeks into new model year and I am not in a ZEV state.

Yeah I was going to mention this too, it seems like GT owners got theirs super quick. I go back and forth on if that would have changed my order having known that, but probably not. We put a ton of miles on this Focus Electric we bought last year for $12k, and according to Carvana it's now worth $16k. I think if we got it in early 2022 the Focus would be worth a lot less, haha. That's the way I will make myself feel better about it anyway. Just glad our order didn't get pushed to 2023.

GT's did get built quick. We had ours built during week 19 and shipped week 20. Ford said 28+ at order. Now I'm stuck at a body shop before delivery maybe I'll find out it really is 28+ now... ? ?

Not counting time on reservation, my GT-PE took 29-1/2 weeks from date of order until pick-up. Time on reservation increases that number dramatically. I am in California, so the ZEV state thing didn’t help at all. ?‍? Enjoying the heck out of the car since I got it. ??

My GT took 34 weeks (caught up in chip-hold in January, then the ensuing shipping backlog). From what I saw on those in the build thread, it didn't matter if it was a GT or not (single data point, special circumstances, yada yada).
