Rain finally got my Mach-E

I order my Mach-E back in March 2022. I received it 9 Dec 2022. I have 2 cars so anytime it was or going to rain I drove my other car. Well last Sunday 23 June I was driving out of town and a surprise rain shower came. I was trying to make it to the 2 year mark were my car was never rain on. Now I'm sure it got rain on while in transit. But it was fun to say my car has never been rain on while it lasted. Wife was laughing when she seen the rain clouds coming. She was saying your car going to get wet. Sad part it only rain for less then 5 mins. I should have kicked her out of the car, right. Lol.

I have several vehicles to choose from and prefer the Mach-E and Miata in the rain. Both fun.

Mine saw snow on the way home with my dog. It saw rain before that. It’s seen mud at the duck club. The worst it’s seen was a rain of goose poop. The car was pretty much white and green. ??

I must say I’m worried about hail, given the glass roof. Its sudden death to the interior if that rain goes to hail. ?

When I saw the thread title I was freaking out for a microsecond. This car has problems in the rain??? The problems with Cybertrucks breaking down in the rain have been quite well publicized. We just got our (new) 2023 Mach-E on Monday.

But then I read your post and crisis averted.

Mine’s a farm vehicle. Dirt roads, potholes, dust and stone. Dust protects the finish. So far - 20 months - a creak or two but has held up well.

My wife and I have 3 cars Almost always take the 03 Honda if there’s a good chance of rain. Of course, in the desert its not that often. I don’t mind it getting wet, I just really love it when it’s clean and spot free.
