We also have a Premium ER RWD...on our first day trip, started at 100% battery and GOM said 239 miles. At the end of the day (perfect day for EV range, mind you) our mi / kWh average was 3.6, so 316.8 miles of range.

It's frustrating, I guess, but as others have said, this is the way of the EV. In time, you'll get a better feel for the other range indicators...i.e. mi / kWh rating or miles / battery percentage.
Yeah just pay attention to the mean consumption and the percentage

My AWD, ER, CARt.1 usually has 150-240 miles range on its display with approximately 80-90% charge.

Our actual range depends on a dozen different factors, but my calculated range based on driving and efficiency during the actual trip has been >300 for all but one trip. That one trip was into 40 mph winds at 75 mph, so approximately 115 mph effort to move the vehicle.

Errrr. No. GOM.

I try to get out but they keep bringing me back in.

Dude it’s not a gas tank.

Range depends on your driving habits plus terrain, temps etc,. With AWD EX battery FE that I have - most of the time I dont expect anything better than 240-250 on full charge. I have seen better mileage than that many times but the car is not always going to be at EPA mileage; real world driving will make it less.

no need to be anxious.... but there IS a need to plan if you are taking a roadtrip over 100 miles.

For an MME with SR battery, I'd plan charge stops somewhere between 100miles in winter and 150 miles in summer. With EX I'd plan stops around 200 in winter, 250 in summer. If you do that.... no worries.

200 miles in winter is too far. Assume starting at 90% from a DC charger, ending at 20%. 88kWh x 0.7 = 61.6kWh 200/61.6 = 3.25m/kWh.

More accurately, assume 2.5 with judicious use of heater. 61.6 x 2.5 = 154 miles.

Just drove 200 miles with 95% charge, ended with 12%. 87% x 88 = 76.56. 200/76.56=2.61 and it was high 40s.

It’ll be fine. There are probably over a hundred threads asking this exact question. Cooler temps = lower range. I get about 1.4-1.6 miles per kWh in 40 degrees or below. Once it’s above 70, I’ll get 3.0+.

Wow, there are some rude people on here. OP is just asking for help/advice. If you have nothing useful to say, then don’t. To the OP, the better the temperature, the better your range to a point. Once it gets too hot and you start blasting your A/C, your efficiency drops. Therefore, so does your range. Similarly, if you have a lead foot, your efficiency and range will drop. There was a period of time last summer into fall where I averaged 4 mi./kWh. The weather was nice so I didn’t run the A/C and I tried to drive the speed limit. My range was 310 - 320. But, I do have a lead foot and that quickly dropped to about 3.2 and I was somewhere around 260. Now that it has warmed up to 70s and 80s in TX, I’m seeing 260-270 miles range at 90%. That’s on an Premium 4X. Hopefully, some of this helps.

I just took delivery of my 21 Mustang Mach E Premium.with RWD. It's supposed to have 300 miles of range when fully charged but only registers 270 miles at full charge. This is the range of the AWD. Does the range increase over time? I've already put +1200 miles on the car.
In the cold NJ weather 270 at full charge is good. You can reset the history and see what that does. I’d never choose a RWD over AWD to gain 30 miles in range, bad choice in snow country.

As the temperature is rising in North Texas we're seeing about 210 estimate at 80% on a Premium AWD ER which is very close to EPA. However about a thousand and one things affect EV range: temps, headwind, tailwind, crosswind, altitude, passenger weight, etc etc.

To be fair, the OP asked a question that’s asked multiple times per week.

First response, no rudeness, answered the question.

OP ignored the answer.

Then the chaos/rudeness begins.

People make jokes on threads like these because it’s the only way to keep from going insane. ?

Forget the range anxiety, what we really should be talking about is the OP just took delivery of his ‘21 11 1/2 weeks into 2022! I’m so sorry for your extremely long wait. Weren’t you able to read the thousand threads on reduced range and GOM inaccuracies during the last year?

Humor intended…

Also forgot to ask if you got 2 key-fobs, cuz there are like 500 threads on that too.

Thanks for the info. I still think 30 miles of conservative guessing is too much. I chose RWD over AWD for the 30 miles of extra range. I'm curious to see what people with AWD are seeing.
We have AWD with the extended battery. Last 100% charge showed 268 miles but we are averaging 3.5 miles per kWh with a total of 7200 miles so far. That’s with a mix of city and highway driving and mostly warm to hot weather!
