I love my GT, I glad to be a member of MME owners community. But I’m a little bit overwhelmed by all this threads about issues, faults, bugs, dings, noises, troubles, reboots, malfunctions and etc. Additionally all negative posts about dealership experience, delivery delays and so on. Really MME is so bad car or something wrong with Forum?

It’s a forum. It attracts people with problems snd issues,. It makes things seem worse than they are. Nothing more than that.

I’ve had my Premium AWD ER for 17 months. Not a single problem. But that would make for a boring forum.

Co-Worker sho has had his MME for about a year took his to a dealer for a vibrating front left wheel, no charging about the stock Mobile charger, and 4 other issues I cannot recall. All these issues and only 30,000 miles in and he will most likely dump the car if the dealership or Ford doesn't give him at least a rental for the week the vehicle will be in the...Battery Bay? Or he may be done with MME. As he stated though it could be a lemon Vic and just a bad luck draw. (Transparency)

You have to decide for yourself. The fanboys say all is good, its just "the internet". Most realistic people will see the MME as a first model year with quite a few issues and recalls, that unfortunately require trips to the dealer. You have to pick your poison. The MME is put together well with weak software, battery, and drive train. More established EV's may have some panel gaps, but constant OTA's that add new features (not just fixes like Ford) and a proven battery and drive train. Just have to decide for yourself what you want to spend your 70k on ;)

Overall I have been very happy with my car.
except for some things that are real

1: terrible bounciness
2: real funky PAAK- if you don’t use PAAK then eliminate this as a problem
3: biggest issue is the HVBJB that will fail , we just don’t know when

there have been a few software glitches that are not major but this forum has been a wealth of knowledge and one of the best I have ever seen.

people have been available to help out above and beyond the call of duty.

I think if you are transitioning from ICE to all EV, it’s night and day. My MME is my first and honestly I don’t think I will ever go back to ICE. I already upgraded to a 23 GT on order, but also have other EVs on order. The reasoning is the MME is nice and the features are great, but I believe others will or can do it better. I will keep whichever seems to be the best.
I wouldn’t even complain about any of these, just pointing out some things I would mention if I had to.
The ride isn’t the best, it’s not overly bumpy, just not great. Some of the finishes feel ehh, cheapish? I got locked out with PAAK already and I always try to take my key now, the app can be glitchy and does weird things sometimes (but I don’t expect an app to be perfect anyway). BlueCruise works well but it does feel like someone is driving buzzed, it pulls to one side and moves around in the lane a lot. The software does take a min to load upon starting but not a big deal. No spare is weird but most if not all EVs don’t have them anyway. I do get some wind noise through my drivers side window, probably something not lined up 100%. The cover over the roadside kit in the back is like a piece of cardboard and just sloppy operation/design. Pushing down the frunk sometimes feels like you will dent it.
like I said, I wouldn’t complain about any of this stuff, it’s all minor nitpicky items and they don’t bother me at all, I’m just throwing stuff out for this thread. I’ve had no mechanical issues whatsoever but I’ve also only had it a few months.

The MME has many little annoyances and 1st year problems, but I think most people can look past them with the exception of the HVBJB. Even then I think most owners would understand if Ford came out and fixed it correctly. But they chose not to do the right thing and have seriously tarnished their reputation and lost tons of credibility. Especially as they are just starting to enter the competitive EV market. People that spend 70k+ on a car has a lot of options out there.

Well said

I have an order on a Caddy Lyriq and told my Porsche salesmen to get me on the list for the Macan Electric when it comes out. Caddy is a decent price, who knows about the Macan but if anything close to the MME, price wise, I expect it to be light years better, ride wise.

You will see similar on the most popular forums for most other EVs, especially those in their first model years. EV6 and Ioniq 5 are on my radar and you'll encounter the same thing.

I forum that was nothing but people commenting how perfect their car was would be very boring.

I'm venting on this forum, admittedly a bit too often, about the purchase/delivery experience. I am at the home stretch of taking delivery and every added delay is harder to take! It's difficult to remain excited after a string of broken expectations, and now I'm just frustrated.

But I am going through that because I want the vehicle. I'm hopeful that it won't be a lemon and it will drive as great as a lot of the reviews say. I'm very excited to be an EV owner, and this is still my EV of choice.

To me, the whole idea of a car forum is a place to gather information and discuss a particular make/model. Some forums are really good at that and others are not. It really all comes down to the people running and participating in them. All makes and models have their problems and quirks. Forums are the best place to share that information and come up with solutions, or at least give information on how to deal with it should it arise.

Your short list of the current topics shows just how good this forum is at that. As I am sure you have seen there are a lot of people here who are very passionate about the MME, have a lot of knowledge about the MME, and really want to help others who own (or are thinking about owing) a MME have the best possible experience. Without this forum instead of being a happy and enthusiastic person about the MME, I probably would have sold the car by now and moved onto another brand. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to so many members on this forum who have helped me out with my MME ownership experience over a relative short period of time.

In my case I started looking into EVs late last year. It was this forum that showed me the best way to order the car, how to apply for discounts like X Plan, the pros and cons of the different trims for the car, examples of good vs bad dealerships handling the ordering process, and what to expect after placing the order. The members here have also showed me how to have the best possible experience with my MME, and how to handle the problems that might come up with the MME. It also taught me about the limitations of the public charging network and how to best navigate that, which came in very useful on my first day of ownership since my trip home from the selling dealer was just under 300 miles.

In my case, this forum has saved me countless hours of frustration and even damage to my MME. When I had my first failure of the HVBJB in May where it actually bricked the car in the my garage, this forum was a lifesaver. Several people were already starting to see failures and described the problems they ran into trying to deal with the repair. Thanks to those helpful members, I already knew what was possibly happening and how to deal with getting the problem solved. I will save you the long story, but the short version is the forum taught me how to not only set up the tow to the dealership, but also the proper way tow procedure to prevent damage to the battery, which a lot of tow companies do not know yet. Once at the dealer, who was not experienced yet with this type of failure, it was members on this forum who reached out to get the proper people with Ford involved to get my car, diagnosed properly and repaired. On my second failure, which is currently in process, it was members from this forum who help me realize the first repair did not include the updated HVBJB that is now available and that is why I am having this second failure. If it was not for this forum, this second failure would have probably been it for me, which would have been a mistake because I really do love the car.

I really never thought of it before, but I guess a lot of times when you see a very active car forum it might not be that the car is necessarily bad. Rather, it might be that the car has developed an enthusiastic owner base who wants to help others see the benefits of owning the car and how to deal with the problems that develop. Sharing this type of information really helps prevent frustration for other owners and helps develop more engaged and enthusiastic owners for the brand.

Before getting my MME in February 2021, I came to this forum to collect information and admire those who got their MME before me.

After getting my MME, I enjoyed it and drove it back to Ford's stealership for recalls and repairs. I did not complain because that was pretty normal for new cars.

In mid-August, my MME entered its "Turtle Model" and signaled "Service Soon." Local stealership said they just spent several months fixing another MME with similar battery problems. Even worse, no loaner car would be provided.

In addition to calling Ford's customer relations, I came to this forum again, trying to collect more information and maybe get some help. My MME has been out-of-service for over a month. I am not surprised about the negativity on this forum at all, because that is human nature......

If you pay $100 for a steak dinner and it tastes great, you probably will tell a few friends. However, if your $100 gets you a can of dog food, how many people will you complain to?
