Rear hatch not closing

My rear hatch on my mach e does not close when I push any button. It beeps three times and will not move. I can close it manually, but would rather use the buttons. I have cleaned all around it thinking it is some sensor, but that did not solve the problem. Anyone have a solution to fix it?

There are in fact sensors looking for obstacles. Have you tried to reset the opening height?

I've noticed that, after sitting open for a while, the hatch is noticeably harder to close. It might need a bit of lubricant occasionally?

You could have a pinch sensor issue, or it might need a software update. Should visit your dealer.
