Rear trunk- tailgate issue after update?

I received this update a few days ago. Since the system was updated, I’ve been having intermittent problems opening the rear trunk—whether using the key fob, the button, or the hands-free function. Today, the side doors also sometimes fail to open. When I press the button, it lights up but nothing happens.

All of this happens randomly. The 12V battery has been checked and is in perfect condition.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? My Mach-E is a 2022 AWD Extended Range Premium.

Wondering about this, too. I pairs elsewhere that I’m having an issue with my Liftgate, sounded similar to your issue. Replacing the latch seemed to be the solution, but after studying the behavior of the latch more today I’m wondering if the control module is the issue, which could be software related.

Good afternoon. I know it was mentioned but does your liftgate open fine with the center console? If so, try replacing fob battery.
Secondly, my lift gate stopped working (2 out of 11 times). Yes, those were intentionally random numbers, haha. Turns out I needed a software update. Even my kick motion works flawlessly now (been about 18 months).
