I just noticed that when I lift my foot off the pedal in Engage mode, the range does not increase visually like it used to do. Before, when going down a steep hill, I could see the mileage change and increase. Now, nothing. I have a 2023 Premium with 3,500 miles. Anyone else encountered this?

If you lift off the pedal and feel your car slow down it is working. I have seen it affect my range on a long downhill when I care to look but I never really take notice. I would notice; however, if the braking effect was not taking place!

Is there are regen display mode that can be configured that actually displays regen graphically? I have not seen/found it if there is a method.

The GT has a power meter that shows power used and regen intensity.
It can be turned on for non-GTs with Forscan.

Wouldn't it be nice if Ford just turned that on, on all Mach E models? I really don't see why that wouldn't just be a standard thing.

It's pretty rare that I have ever noticed my range increasing when braking or coasting downhill. I have seen it happen, and part of it is that I'm certainly not keeping my eyes glued to the range meter (or "Guess-o-meter", GOM for short). It's more often that I can tell it's working because I have driven 5 miles and my GOM has only dropped by 2 miles.

Another thing to try is to use the Low "Gear" button on your shift knob, which uses the regen to slow you down, similar to what 1PD does. So if I'm going down a steep hill, or coming up to a red light in the distance, and I just want to slow down a bit in anticipation of it changing to green, I will use the Low button.

I did enable the power meter on my '23 Premium, and it confirms the regen. But it's such a tiny meter, it's not all that useful for tracking how much power you're currently using/generating. I like having it on, though, and it wasn't particularly difficult to do (along with some other tweaks to the settings, like getting rid of the annoying honk when you leave the car running and get out with the key...)

When you are in Engage, the "Brake Coach" is a good regeneration meter. It shows how effectively you are regenerating during a stop.
