Received a FedEx notification today that a package from Dearborn will be arriving on Friday.

It is my replacement adapter for order #2221.

My replacement adapter arrived yesterday. Looks to be exactly the same as the original one (Brand T). They included a return label and instructions for the original adapter however I left that one in my '21 I traded in....
I even took the mobile charger bag off my 22 when I traded it in. The 24s come in several plastic bags now.

I also received a FedEx notification today. Funny thing is, this will be my 3rd adapter received. The original, the replacement (sent to an old address but I intercepted), and now a 2nd replacement sent to my new address.

I didn’t ask for another adapter, I guess Ford is just in the spirit of giving this season ?

Some guy in the 6000's said his replacement adapter got shipped but we're only on 2000 here. But hey that means they got closer to 1k adapters out in a week...that second Intern is really paying off.

Just got this notification a few minutes ago.....no email before hand. I currently have two suspect adapters from the June bunch, so I don't know if one or two of them are coming today.

So this should be interesting. One adapter or two? And if it's one, which one is getting replaced?

I'm assuming this is the Lectron version?
The label on the bag says "Majority content made in USA".
I've owned this car for a year now and never DCFC'd. I'll have to give it a try just to see if it works properly.
I just DCFC'ed with the adapter for the first time Wednesday. Ended up DCFCing 4 times with it that day, all at different locations. I have plug and charge enabled; the process is simple and easy to start trusting. Add adapter to Tesla plug, plug adapter into car. I think once it took ~10 seconds to start charging but it worked every time.

Has anyone used the old, "bad" adapter since receiving the email? Heading out on a trip today and am taking the "bad" adapter as a just-in-case backup, but hesitant to use it.

Still waiting for my first adapter. Order #FAE:90123605. Nothing meaningful/specific from Ford since July 11, 2024.... Any way to extrapolate a "Guess" on the shipping from the order number?

I have not but I also have only used it the one time when testing for <3 minutes. Have not had the need to DCFC. ?‍♂?

Yes I have used my recalled adaptor for short 10 minute charges. If charging longer I recommend you check the adaptor for heat buildup while charging. Warm is OK but Hot means stop now.

I am in the same boat and have only used it for a few minutes to test that it works. I will be cutting it close on actually needing it. Trip is 200 miles roundtrip, but it'll be in ~15 degree weather. We are taking the 24 Lightning Lariat not the MME.

So that 'unannounced' Fedex shipment arrived today and it was a "-21-D" replacement adapter.

For those that haven't seen what comes in the package yet...there's the replacement adapter in the same sort of box, and instruction note that the first one came with, and then there's the plastic shipping bag and Fedex RMA label to send the return back ("-00-D").

And a useful info sheet with a number you can call if you have questions about your order(s).
Ford Mustang Mach-E Replacement NACS Adapter shpped Adapter_Info_Ford_Accessories

I did need to call because I have two adapters in the bad batch and didn't know which of the two were supposed to go back as the return for today's delivered replacement.

Turns out it doesn't matter. They aren't tracking them by serial number at all. The lady said they only track them by order number, but there are no correlating serial numbers that match the order numbers, so as long as you send back one of the two "-00-D" adapters (if you have more than one like I do) it doesn't matter which one goes first. She said my other adapter was already on the way to me as well.

She also said that the RMA return label expires after 7 days. So make sure you drop your return off at Fedex within a week of getting the replacement. That's why I'm not just holding on to the first one I received until I get both of them and then returning both at the same time.

I did not get any email letting me know today's adapter had been shipped. First notice was from Fedex themselves.

For those who may be interested, this replacement I received today was for order 90006443.

You can use that phone number to call about your original NACS adapter if you haven't received it yet as well.
