Yeah, I wouldn't do it unless you're really just stuck. (Or adventurous.) Especially under warranty. Clearly something is wrong that needs service anyway.That is what I thought rip it apart to get at the 12v. Going to be hard for me to jump on board with that on a vehicle that is less than a week old and under warranty.
Here's the connection spots if you ever did need to try and trickle charge the 12V battery yourself...
