GTPE Converted to a 22. Made in January of 22 but delivered in May due to chip shortage. Blew up the HVBJB in October of 22. Thought I was done with this problem but I guess not. Blew up last week and just dropped off at dealer today to be looked at on Monday.

First replacement took 6 weeks because of Midwest dealers that didn’t have the correct tools at the time. Hopefully this go around is much smoother.

anyway, what a bummer

You'll be getting the C part this time which, to my knowledge, has not been failing for folks...so that's a plus.
Well that’s good to know. Kind of stopped following this issue after the first replacement. Didn’t realize there was yet another revision. That makes me feel a little better knowing it’s not the same revised one that just failed going back in.

Bummer. You probably got LK9Z-10C666-B as a replacement. I got LK9Z-10C666-BRM (same part, just a remanufactured part) in August of 2023. I expect to blow it up again this summer. As @Scooby24 said, your replacement should be a LK9Z-10C666-CRM. The -C part went into service I believe in December of 2023. We haven’t been hearing of this part failing at this time, so fingers crossed. ??

Thanks for the full part number. I’ll verify with the dealer early next week when they look at it.

Is that new C part also going into the AWD LR version that I have? Mine is being done next week because of the recall.

No, ER battery cars get a different part: NK9Z-10C666-E is current. ??

Correction: NK4Z-10C666-E

It’s only been four months. Let’s see what happens this summer.

Mine was replaced in august of 2023 as well, so you saying I do not have the latest version but I am not listed in the recall? Not good news to me.

Yes. The LK9Z-10C666-C didn’t make it into the wild until December. ??

No one can say, that I know of, that the latest part number is any better than the HVBJB’s built since June of 2022. To the best of my knowledge all that has been changed are the contactors and they unit (I believe) is made by a different manufacturer. If that still remains true for 2024 where they have lifted the power restrictions on GT’s I have no clue.

It’s also worth noting that there are reports that some of the warranty replacements for GTs made after the new part was put into service were -BRM parts. I don’t know why since when the -B part came online Ford flushed all of the -A part. ?‍♂?

Welcome to the club sadly. Changed once, broken twice after - hence my fourth HVBJB. Fun thing? Ford removed my car from the HVBJB waitlist because they… well I don’t know why. 2021 job 2, extended range RWD with 90 000 km done. Wonder who I can shout and threaten to get back in queue as I’m still stuck on the Forest Gump version of HVBJB ?
