Just curious, is this happening only in the electric world? I mean my regular Mustang used to get software updates all the time, at cameras ect. I guess what I’m wondering is are the non-Lectric vehicles having all these issues too? I mean, I know regular gas powered don’t have like one pedal and the high voltage battery.

And here is another reason I'm happy to have NOT taken the FDRS plunge.
Though my dealer did 23b and many more me, but I havn't had a fault yet, I'll try pulling codes tomorrow. I'm a bit too Glenfiddiche'd to push buttons at this point.

Like I’ve been thinking lately I haven’t got an update for about four weeks no big deal. I understand some people have been waiting for months, but if this is what updates are gonna do, I don’t want any because I honestly don’t know what more car needs. I would like to have some updated buttons on the FordPass app, but I’m thinking that’s just the app. I don’t think that requires a software update?

Dealers can't undo software updates.

FYI the 1PD issue is a temporary glitch, turning the car off and back on again will restore normal operation if it occurs. For some reason certain cars are much more prone to it than others. You could be totally fine and never have an issue with the new software.
Understood, thank you.

Yes, my car is now basically Windows Vista. Something randomly breaks, reboot!

I am guessing Ford fixes this one pretty quickly. Because they have to, don't they?

I have just been waiting to see which module updates are released and when. I have not fired up FDRS in several months since nothing was interesting. ?‍♂?

Even if I did perform any of these updates, I likely wouldn’t have noticed anything since I drive in 2PD. Of course, if something else gets borked in a future module update, I may or may not be affected. ??

They will need to stop the work on these programs and perform it later. They can still do other programs not listed here.

Yes.
So what are they doing with the L2 charging and the melting and burning of the charging port (stuck)? Just letting that one ride?

I am thinking more win 95 before it went to NT in 2000. Reinstall annually due to slow corruption. To be fair mine has been working great and no real problems lately.

If we could pick and choose updates that would be great. Just want my L2 charging speed back and could do with a better 12V BMS. All the rest of the fluff I have no need for.

I just want them to roll back the hvac update done initially , during the first winter we used heat with no major energy consumption, now we get the chill out and shut if off. will eat the entire charge in about 110 miles?‍♂

Effectively immediately, all service and recall programs for the Mach-E that involve powertrain software updates have been halted. This seems to be related to 1-Pedal drive faults encountered after recent powertrain software updates performed by dealers. Here is the list of programs stopped:
If your vehicle is scheduled for service on any of these programs, that service will need to be put on hold.

Do not perform any powertrain updates (PCM, ABS, BECM, SOBDM, SOBDMB, SOBDMC modules) in FDRS.

This post will be updated once the hold is released.

wow, thanks for posting.... !

makes me glad I disabled OTAs months ago once I had a stable build and known functionality after my HVBJB replacement.

@Ford Motor Company is going to have to make some real improvements to software testing and release process to get me to turn updates back on. The ONLY update I would like is Navigation data, and I refuse to pay $80 for that, so.... Unless Ford enables a user display of custom dashboard info on the main console, I don't see myself updating any modules, ever.

I am hoping that maybe this time around, after Ford gets all modules talking to each other again, that they capture and number ALL modules versions with a 'major' release, and version numbers in a package so that the entire system could be reset and reloaded at some known version after testing. Until there is a way to skip all the intermediate alpha/beta releases, and jump right to a fully tested major release with documented fixed/enhancements.... I'll stick with the software I have.

Thank you. Had 23B50 done last week...
Good morning

Well, my MachE has been in the shop for some two weeks now while they try to solve the recurring power drops - I'm sure it's the HVBJB - so I wonder if they're going to stop that work now? I wonder if this is the precursor for a blanket recall?

The brake pedal still works. If you have the 1PD problem, pull over, turn the car off, then turn back on again.
I"m sorry, I'm not up to date on some of these threads - what is the "1PD" problem? Is that a known issue?
