Yes, same number, but specifically ask for the BEV Team. Then get a case number assigned and give it to the dealership.
I received a case number but the rep didn't seem associated with electric cars specifically. I had asked if there was a special team to handle issues with the mach e when I first called and they had no idea what I was talking about.

Does Ford every look at these posts, I don't want to rant but this kind of a c**p experience. This is such a great car, I'm going to try to disassociate this issue from the rest of the owner experience although after a month it may be tougher to do so lol.

@Ynotbike I am sorry to hear this has happened to you. I hope that Ford can get you r car back on the road soon. ??

I had hoped the same, but I got hit by the failure on September 27th. Mine is RWD standard range, so even lower power potential. I'm betting just about everyone gets this done eventually, but that is coming from my cynical side.
<SNIP>
I haven’t heard of an SR RWD failing
before. Huge bummer. ??

2021 RWD Premium, extended battery and have been stranded twice, both times while attempting to charge, exactly like you. No FOB, late Sunday evening trying to get home. We've only got 32K miles on it, and it's been in the shop twice for 4 weeks each time. We haven't got it back yet this time. If it happens again... We are thinking Lemon Law. I've never had a car leave me stranded before, unacceptable. If it happens a third time... we're done.
I love the car, but, I've lost trust in it, I can't image taking it on a trip again.

Did they replace the hvbjb each time?

I actually found this forum while stranded on the side of the road trying to figure out what to do. So awesome you guys set this up, I would have had no idea, anyways...

As it begins:
I live in Florida and evacuated due to the storms last month. No big damage but we lost power for a week. Drove up to stay with family in Nashville until things came back on.

Timeline of events:
  • Started driving from Nashville back home to Florida Saturday, October 1st.
  • While stopping at an Electrify America charging station in Marietta, GA, I received a charging error.
  • Tried to move to another charging station but got a battery light and car error along with the "stop safely now" message. The car would not budge. It's 11pm at this point and I'm more than 500 miles from home.
  • Called Ford roadside and explained what was going on, 2 hours later they sent someone to charge my 12v battery (I kept explaining that wouldn't help since I was in a Walmart parking lot and had already bought a voltage meter.)
  • Once the battery guy figured out he couldn't help I contacted ford roadside again and they sent a tow truck. Got the mustang to a local dealer at about 2am on a Sunday. Of course no dealers are open till Monday.
  • Had to get two nights at a hotel to wait for the dealership to open and miss a day of work.
  • I was using phone as a key, I gave them my back up code and explained they could just create a back up key but they said they needed me to ship my key to them in the event that once they pulled the battery, everything would be wiped from memory.
  • I flew back home Monday afternoon but got in too late to ship my key. Had to overnight it Tuesday, October 2nd. They received it the next day.
  • As everyone knows; the part is on back order and both the dealership and Ford have no idea when it will ship (as of October 18th there is no end in sight.)

The dealership, roadside assistance, and Ford have all been very pleasant and tried to be helpful, but the issue is the lack of knowledge of the Mach E which has left everyone unprepared. So far I'm out a day of work, 2 nights at a hotel, plane ticket, and rental car out of pocket which I've now stopped since the reimbursement only covers $35 a day and only up to 10 days. Luckily I have a motorcycle to use but that's during the rainy season in Florida.

I love the Mach E, I came from the VW ID.4 which was plagued with software issues, my seats would constantly change position, windows would randomly work, etc. Anyone have thoughts on this, should I have done something differently? I know 18 days so far isn't a lot to complain about but even if my part shipped today it would still be a month before my car can be picked up and I'd still have to fly back to get it.
If you haven’t done so already, check out the first part of this thread:

https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...ers-biggest-fear-facts-and-info-thread.18143/

There are several people in that thread that can gtt er up with some guidance on how to approach thibgs so this goes a bit smoother.

Was it a problem with the HVBJB each time? I just got the dreaded "Powertrain Malfunction/Reduce Power" and "High-Voltage Battery Warning" faults for the second time (post SW recall update). The first time (about a month ago) I was preparing for a long fight getting the HVBJB replaced but the dealer did a SW update that "fixed" if. Whatever... The warning lights went away and car operated normally until today when the warning messages hit me again. The car still drove but with reduced power. I took it back to the same dealer and they will look at it tomorrow so I guess we will see how it goes. Either way I feel like it is a ticking time bomb until the HVBJB finally fails and like you, would not trust it on a road trip, at least until the HVBJB is replaced. I have a 21 Premium extended range all wheel drive with 25k miles.

UPDATE: dealer verified that the HVBJB has failed and ordered a replacement but they don’t have an estimate yet for how long it will take to get the part in. They said that they will hook me up with a rental car tomorrow. I will also take the advice of this forum and call ford BEV folks and get a case number assigned and see if they can help expedite the part.

Hello! Send us a private message with your MachE’s VIN and current mileage. Allow me to see what I can do to assist. Thanks!

I should have added on a slightly funny/annoying detail. My family gave us a grill to take back down in case the power went out again and we needed to cook. Its currently in pieces in the back of my Mach E so it will be interesting to see what smells I have to deal with once I get it back.

I’m afraid I’m at the beginning stages of this same issue now. I have a 2021 RWD extended range and got the same error messages. Luck enough to be within 5 miles of my local dealership so I took it in Monday. Their diagnosis is that a ā€œjunction boxā€ needs to be replaced. I’m assuming it’s the same HVBJB everyone else is referencing. I have a case open with Ford (wasn’t aware there was a separate BEV team). They’re saying the dealership should provide a rental. Dealership is saying they maaaay have a loaner or else I’d have to use my $35 a day for 10 day rental extended coverage (barely covers half the cost for a compact rental in this area ?). What irks me the most about this situation is that I literally paid off the MachE the week before. Now I get hit with this.

The dealership should be able to arrange a rental for that $35 a day but you will need to transfer your insurance across as it won't cover that. Both my Subaru and Ford dealership did here, in the past when they had no loaner.

I was told they could not do that, I pushed pretty hard, its why I ended up flying back since I didn't want to get a rental car out of pocket that had to be returned to Atlanta, ford wouldn't cover any of that extra cost.
