While you're at it, swing by McDonalds and fill up that large fountain drink you bought last year because 'free refills' amiright?
I said that half seriously - but if I'm a gas station owner, and I know eventually I'm going have some DCFC equipment in, I want your business. So if for now that means a few cents is "free" squeegee use, I'd be fine with it. Big picture.

Bill Gates was asked once back in the day if he was concerned about Windows piracy - he said no, they are using Windows, and eventually they'll be paying for it.

Brand loyalty is worth something - in my mind certainly more than a few cents of squeegee use.

There just has to be something catchier than that especially with the EV,s that also block DC chargers. Well something catchier than “Rude A-hole” I guess
"Zapped?" "Bolted?" "Jolted?" "Fried?" (OK, not that kind of fried...)

Just brainstorming....

I just got back from a 2K mile trip to California and back. For the price, this was my best investment for the tripL https://www.amazon.com/Rain-X-9425CDX-Liquid-Refillable-Squeegee/dp/B00NFJMXJO/ref=sr_1_1?crid=23UE7XZ8F94PZ&keywords=rain-x+9425CDX&qid=1684159439&sprefix=rain-x+9425cdx,aps,147&sr=8-1
It is a squeegee with the glass cleaner built in
On my California to Texas and back trip, I was charging at a Walmart and went in and bought a roll of paper towels and a bottle of Windex I keep in the frunk. Didn't think about that before the trip. But seeing this is better.

On the rare occasion I would need a clean of the windshield, would not think twice about using the squeegee. I don't think the Gas Station Owner cares either. The more traffic into his establishment the better for him. If one out of 10 of us stop and get a pop or a snack; he still wins.

Given the condition of many squeeges, not to mention the solution mix, I suggest buying your own and a bottle of windex in the frunk. I find windex with a squeege to be streak free.

On a related note, is mine the only MME that is a bug magnet?

I just bought a squeegee and a runny fefillable spray bottle to keep in the frunk of my MME and another for the frunk of my Lightning last week. Cost me less than 20 bucks and it means that I never have to pull into a gas station period. Well, unless I want to use their bathroom (without paying for it), which I'm sure costs the gas station more than us EV drivers using their squeegee does.

How much more expensive, and how much more reliable, would public charging be if there were a station attendant to keep squeegee buckets topped off at EV charging stations?

They could be like old school attendants and check under the hood for you, help make sure your shrimp is still good, maybe throw on another bag of ice.

I had a gas station squeegee scratch my windshield probably 10 years ago. You could see the back-and-forth pattern of how I scrubbed it.

I've been hesitant to use them ever since - but sometimes I have to.

Carrying something in the frunk is a good idea.
