21 Job 1 purchase and hands down I would make the same purchase again. It's the best car we've ever owned and still enjoy driving it. 35k miles, including 3 roadtrips of 2000+ miles, and no major issues. There are things that can be frustrating, mostly related to bugs and expectations, but if you appreciate the car for what it is today, it's a winner.

I'm curious about the 'alarms.' It bings and beeps a fair bit when things are working normally. Like, twice when you start and more if you are the sort that starts the car without your seatbelt on.

I got mine in February and have zero regrets with the car choice.

I have the car for 21 months and have almost 20k miles.

have had a couple bumps in in the road so to speak in terms of issues but nothing drastic.

I am a constant complainer of how Ford Screwed us with their defective HVBJB but I haven’t had a failure yet and they are replacing the old one with newer ones, unfortunately they still are not foolproof.

the only other complaint I have is the ride, the rear just bounces too much And my wife hates that. That’s on me since I should have tested it more and probably bought the performance edition with magnaride

I wouldn’t buy the car again, because of Ford not really the car but I am in the minority. Size is great, acceleration is great, range is very good also. Almost the perfect car.

as an FYI just about all EV manufacturers have had some issues so Ford is not alone.

I’ve decided to use it locally and purchased a charge for my garage. The ford unit is intermittent in its operation and dealer did not have a spare one. Guess I’ll wait un next year.
Don’t bother with the ford charger. Purchase one from a company that specializes in EVSE. I have a Charge Point Home Flex and it’s been great. There are many threads on this site about EVSE options, but the easiest place to get information is “state of charge” on YouTube. I went with a smart charger, but have never once used any of the smart functionality. If possible, have it hard wired since the wall plug is the most common point of failure.

We have owned a 22 premium awd er for 13 months and have 17000 miles on it. Have taken several trips requiring 2-3 dcfc charges, and one 2100 mile trip with 14 dcfc charges. While we have had some “inconvient” moments charging, we have always charged when we needed to. While we have had a few software glitches they have always been resolved quickly, with the car usually simply resetting itself. The Mach-e is a complicated and technologically advanced piece of equipment and we have enjoyed learning how to use it. We have honestly, never had what we considered a problem with it. Some people will enjoy the challenge of interacting with new technology, some people won’t.

If I remember correctly I was #235002 to put a reservation on a Tesla 3 when it was first announced. Due to working overseas on time of scheduled delivery, I cancelled the order. 3 years later when I came back there was no doubt that I bought the MME instead. Didn’t even think about the Y.

Tesla has some die hard fans, but for me the MME looks better, drives better and has a higher fit/feel/finish. Test drive the Tesla and you should be able to tell what you want.

Get yourself a high quality EVSE from any reputable brand. Pulsar Wallbox, Grizzl-E, or even Tesla.

The beeps when you start the car for me are generally 1 of 2.
1) I didn’t put my seatbelt on before starting
2) on last exit I bumped the light switch from Auto.

This is the nicest car I have ever owned. I truly enjoy driving it and I enjoy how quiet it is. Have taken a few road trips, and really haven’t had any major issues with charging network - just have to plan it out ahead of time.

I haven't regretted either of our non-Tesla EVs (Mach E and BMW i4). Teslas are good too, although every EV has its own pros and cons. IMHO, Ford builds a better car than Tesla, and Tesla wins on software. Rent a Tesla for a few days and you'll realize there are downsides as well.

The biggest Tesla advantage, the Supercharger network, goes away early next year when most of their network opens up. I think you made a good decision...go and put some miles on it and enjoy the ride!

You can't swing a dead cat in my neighbourhood without hitting a Tesla. It's the easy choice depending on what you are looking for - easy charging, get a Tesla. Want to impress your friends who know nothing about EVs? Get a Tesla. Musk is a master marketer, don't fall for it.

I'm one year in and absolutely love the car. Knock wood it's been trouble free so far. If you are a bit hesitant to road trip with it stick with the hybrid until we get Supercharger access.

You did not make a mistake.

I purchased my 2022 MME Select in April 2022. Almost 26,000 miles later, the vehicle has performed flawlessly--probably the best vehicle I have ever owned.

I just moved to Florida and pur a home in a very environmentally Conscious neighborhood. On impulse without any research or thinking about tomorrow, I purchased a Mach E and joined this forum. I have watched hours of YouTube videos and now I am wondering if I should have purchased a Tesla. Seem there are innumerable problems with long distance traveling, and with the car itself. I would like to ask the Mach E community if they had a do over would they still buy the Mach E. I have Less than 1500 miles on my car and am already getting alarms intermittently. For me it isn’t to late to change. I don’t need problems.
You should be just fine but, I do have to ask one thing of you. Please, please, please don't come on here 6 months to a year from now complaining about the resale value when you want to sell it. We have way too many of those threads on this forum already!

With few exceptions. Most problems are minor nuisances and not deal breakers. The loan exception is the hvbjb. But you bought a 2023 so are less likely to encounter it.
Enjoy the ride. If something pop up find a good dealer. You have a 3 year warranty to fix everything and an 8 year warranty for drivetrain and battery. So all should be good.

Yep. Although I think I’d wait for the chance to order a Rally.

Bought mine in 2021 and have had the HVJB failure. But I would still have bought one even if I knew then what I know now. Just would have sprung for the GT performance over the GT for the better suspension.

I think many things are solved by the 23 year. Enjoy the purchase and EV driving joys. Soon with access to the Super Chargers road trips will have a lot more options as many have posted above.

I have a '23 Premium and love it. If your wife is getting errors but they disappear too quickly, they may not actually be errors (one exception may be drive mode not available).

The car does make various sounds while driving that aren't errors - one example is predicted navigation in the Ford Nav system. It could be a warning for an upcoming red-light camera or traffic in the area.
