My Honda has it, it tilts either the driver side mirror, passenger side mirror, or neither, depending on the position of the mirror adjustment selector. My driveway is long and curvy, it is easier and quicker to watch and follow just one side when backing out. Other than this one use case though I like the 360-degree cameras better. Oh well, a first world problem. :)

It saddens me that we probably won’t get this with an update. Quite a few people chime in with a little insider info saying XX is coming in the next round of updates, etc. but it sounds like this one isn’t going to. I wish Ford would just gobble up the low hanging fruit quality of life updates. Unreal.

Actually, the Mach E does have this feature in North America... but it's turned off and we have to turn it on with Forscan.

I did turn it on in the IPC menu via Forscan and the option now shows up on the SETTINGS menu.

I still have to dial in the FORSCAN settings for the door modules though - the mirrors now do turn down, if that mirror is selected, but then they each turn all the way to the right.

It was the same on the 2d Gen Fusions until we collectively figured out the settings on the 2GFusions.net forum. TBC...

Sorry for joining the party late, but just got my Mach a couple of weeks ago. Page 215 of the OM talks about a Side View Camera and says it's "on the outside mirror" and "provides a video image of the sides of your vehicle to aid your when parking". So do I look at the mirror or the display and how to select which camera to display which camera? Something tells me that, while the camera may be on the mirror, my info is on the display somewhere so off to garage...

Seems like everyone except me knows why mirrors should be tilted down...

I reverse out of my garage, and out of perpendicular parking spaces. In neither case would I find it helpful to have my mirrors point down.

So when/how would you use this feature? Maybe when backing into a perpendicular parking space?

Sharp curbs, for example. Wash DC has sharp granite curbs in its downtown core and they can do a number on unsuspecting cast wheels before the driver realizes it.
