Thank you for good intentions, but you are not helping in any way.
No, its not normal if I can’t drive my $56k vehicle. I will put all efforts to make Ford fix it or buy it back under lemon law.
People who discourage and gaslight me into believeing I’m not suffering are making my task only harder.

Now you are trying to manipulate me by questioning if I’m adult or not. Dirty move.

Aside of word “denier”, is my disagreement with his conclusions are considered insult?

I hope BMT1071 will face the same situation as myself while most people are denying seriousness of his problem, saying it can’t be fixed or even canceling its existence. The he will be able to understand me.

Take a plastic clear dome and put it over the display and seal it down. I am willing to bet that will make the sound go away.

The thing is about high frequency sounds, which this is, do not go threw materials very well at all. This is why is very likely in spec and not heard on other ford vehicles. They have stuff around it that is blocking. That clear plastic window on the dash over the interment cluster blocks it. The mach e does not have it.

Like I said it does not bother me. The high pitch of the engines bother me more and even that not a big deal.
I also am willing to bet being hyper focused on it is not helping you either. I know I sure a f not going to tell my wife about it because then it will be all she hears.
There is a reason why a lot of people do not think it is a big deal to them because it is not. We don't hear it over the radio or road noises. Hell I have enough eletrictronics I work around at my desk 8-9 hours a thatthe buzz is nothing to me.

Thank you for willing to give a good advice, but unfortunately its not a working way to help people. Its actually impossible to “stop being hyper focused” if an annoying sound bothers you.

It *is* a serious problem, even if it does not bother you personally. You are just lucky to have a quieter unit or be insensitive to it.

I do not think @BMT1071 is saying it can't be fixed. Ford said that they aren't going to do anything about it. I think that @BMT1071 is saying that ford isn't going to fix it, which is different from can't be fixed.

For the record they did NOT say it they will not fix it. They suggested you probably shouldn't try to fix it (it is not recommended) but did not explicitly say the claim would be denied like they do in other SSMs.

The noise is a nuisance and if it is fixable that is a warrantable repair. This assumes that the service advisor and/or tech can hear it and agrees with you and submits the pre-approval to Ford. I'm betting they will cover it. Squeaks, rattles, noticeable noises that are not normal are covered under warranty. The whine of the electric motors is a normal operating characteristic but I think we all know this buzz is not and is a nuisance.

Since Ford itself can't hear the noise they take the service advisor/tech's word that the sound is out of the ordinary and not acceptable and will approve the repair I believe.

Only time will tell. I could very well be wrong.

The thread is literally what Ford's SSM to dealers says. The discussion is about what that means and peoples reaction to it. The above you replied to is just my opinion on what it means.

Also getting it replaced now would likely not yield better results. We need a newer, fixed part with fixed hardware. I may contact my guys at united radio who repair Ford clusters and ask them if there is a fix.

All, I added a poll to this just to get an even better gauge on those that notice a buzz and those that don't.

That's what I suggested in the other 30+ page thread about this and all I got was attacked. ;)
