def wouldn't have ordered a GT if the premium had the same exterior.

Saw my first GT in the wild this week. The grill is a bit silly, much like putting side pipes on an EV. The running pony is a no go.

I'm guessing if you took a poll you would be in the minority on this. There's many posts here where people are modding their non-GT grills to be like the GT. I have yet to see anyone mod a GT to look like a non.

Love that all trims have the GT grille and bumper cover but if that was done in US I am certain that would hurt the overall GT trim sales and therefore Ford loses revenue. Makes you wonder why all trim levels have the GT grille in China? ?

The user interface on the big screen also looks different, it has a "home" and also you appear to be able to navigate between functions by swiping the screens left and right.

Most important difference is the LiFePO battery. Funny how the made in China version is so much better than ours. The reason is the EV competition in china is fierce. There are at least 5 companies making EVs and selling there

yeah, the EV competition in China is really fierce, in the past 5 years, more than 30 new companies started to made EV, and probably 20 of them have already been weeded out.

The Mustang Mach E is definitely a great and special one among them, it has the technology and experience that Ford has accumulated in the past and gorgeous design with the newest tech.

I think the reason why the MME got some difference between US and CN is that Ford in China is a joint venture with a Chinese company called "Changan", so they have some localization features.

Center console covers are silly. I had a MB C300 with a beautiful one. Opened it on the day I picked the car in 2018 and closed it again two days ago when I delivered it to Carvana.

Chinese market Model Y has a similar center console cover with gloss black material. I bet this might have driven this change.

There are over 300 EV makers in China, not 5.

Add me to the list of not being overly fond of the GT grill. I don't hate it, but I don't love it enough to stress about it either.

I do think the differences between the regions are interesting, though.

Looks like it possibly has longer range?

Could be just how they test though (like how EU has longer tested range but same specs).

There's a recent poll in a norwegian FB group suggesting otherwise. But mabe we are more used to EVs in norway, and love the clean grill-less look. It doesn't make sense to me that they prefer fake grills in China though.
